Located in the Valley de La See, surrounded by rolling hills, our gite offers a lovely situation for a relaxing holiday in the countryside. Its position makes it an ideal base for exploring the many famous landmarks of the area - Mont St Michel, the Bayeaux Tapestry and WW2 Landing Beaches, the medieval cities of Avranches, Domfront, Fougeres, St Malo and Dinan and also the yachting town of Granville and the famous copper-making town of Villedieu-les-Poeles.
If you prefer to stay close to home, you can relax in our spacious and attractive gardens or sunbathe on the private, secluded decking area next to the pool.
The area is also very good for cycling (bring your own or we can arrange hire) with mapped circuits, and walking too. Beautiful gardens to visit along Brittany border.
Easy access from 3 ports - within 1 hour and a half of the ports of Caen and St Malo, 2 hours from Cherbourg and approximately 1 hour and a half from Rennes and Dinard airports.
This Gite has a galley style kitchen area and is equipped with a gas cooker, fridge and all the usual cooking equipement you would expect for a holiday home. Antique dining table seats 2.
Sofa seats 2, flat-screen 55cm tv and dvd with English Freeview channels.
Characterised by original beams and stone wall, the bedroom has a king-sized bed which is made up for your arrival. Window overlooks the garden. Wardrobe and chest of drawers.
En suite bathroom has a shower cubicle with shower gel supplied, wash hand basin and toilet. Toilet rolls provided.
There is a radiator in bathroom and bedroom.

I worked in Conveyancing and Dave in Building before we moved to France in 2005. We renovated the 3 Gites one by one and then converted the barn in the grounds to our home.

|Why this location?||The proximity of the ports was an important factor - Caen and Saint Malo are just over an hour and Cherbourg less than 2 hours. There are so many historic and interesting places to visit on a day out plus we are an easy 40 minute drive to the beach. And if we choose to stay at home, we have the countryside and an abundance of wildlife to enjoy.|

The most historic monument in our region, a must to visit for the history and beautiful architecture. 40 minutes and a nice scenic drive.
Visit this historic town, the museums, the Jardin de Plants and have a coffee near the Tourist Office to people watch.
