About this property

Three Bedroomed Spacious Converted Cider Barn . This cottage/gite is in a town setting.

Amelia Gite is a beautifully converted cider barn, with 3 large bedrooms (1 fixed double bed and 2 twin beds that can be fixed together to make king beds) and a family bathroom on the first floor. On the ground floor is the living/dining space (with woodburner) and a cloackrom with toilet and sink. The kitchen leads through to a utily room (washing machine) with a door accessing the private garden. There is a step down to the garden so care must be taken by small children and those with limited mobility. The garden has patio furniture and a charcoal bbq. To the front of the property is the communal play area featuring the 18ft above ground unseated splash pool, football area, swings and the trampoline. This area is not supervised and children use at their own risk and should be monitored by a responsible guardian.

Please note this property is heated by the woodburner, wood is supplied. There is no central heating.

We also have another Gite onsite 'Victoria' which is also a 3 bedroomed property (2 fixed doubled and bunk beds).

Living rooms

There is seating for 6 people in the living room and it has a woodburner. There is a tv with a Humax box which gives you British tv free view channels and access to the Internet.

There are 3 bedrooms. All bedrooms have sloping ceilings due the the properties conversion from a cider barn.

The family bathroom is on the first floor. There is a bath with a shower and toilet and sink.

This property has no central heating, there is a woodburner with wood provided for the duration of your stay.

Garden and outside

The Gite has its own garden to the rear of the property with patio furniture and a charcol bbq.

Parking and garages

There is ample parking in the communal driveway. If your party has more than 1 car please be considerate in your parking. Sometimes it may be necessary to park vehicles in front of the other.

Visitor suitability

The property has a step into the living area and into the garden. There are stairs at the property and stairgates are subject to availability and are the responsibility of the guest to ensure they are properly used. About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Deborah Powell

Hello, my name is Deborah, I'm the owner of the Gites and I live onsite with my husband David and two daughters. We bought the three properties in January 2017, we live in the cream house on the end and the other two are let out as Gites. Although we live onsite we respect our guests privacy but offer the reassurance of being on hand if you need us. We pride ourselves on offering clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation and look forward to welcoming you to Les Gites des Jonquille.

Year property purchased 2017
Why this location? We chose to relocate to this area for the close proximity of so many attractions Normandy has to offer. Within an hour you can drive to the D Day beaches and museums, Le Mont Saint Michel, Champrepus Zoo, Parc Ange Michel theme park, Bayeux famous for its tapestry and cathedral, Granville a harbour town with a high speed ferry service to Jersey, Avranches, Saint Lô, Caen, Saint Malo famous for its ancient walled town and the stunningly beautiful sandy beaches from Jullouville up to Cherbourg.
Unique benefits of property We are very central in the region. The A84 is only 7 mins away making is just an hour from both Caen and Saint Malo ferry ports and 70 mins from Cherbourg. Dieope is 2 hours 40 mins drive. Calais is 4 hours away. Our property is on the edge of Percy, a traditional French town which boasts a super market, 3 boulangeries, 2 bars, 2 restaurants and many other amenities. The nearby town of Villedieu les Poeles has many restaurants and bars and a fabulous weekly market held on Tuesdays.
