First things first if you book our Luxury French Farmhouse for your holiday you will arrive by driving up its own drive to the parking area in front of the house, you will retrieve the key from the key box to the right hand side of the front door, we have found that by allowing you your own check in time there is no need to rush or worry about times of arrival as our motto here is 'No Stress'. You will open the front door to find the place spotlessly clean and a welcome basket of essentials on the long oak kitchen table to at least get you settled in with 'No Stress'. We then would hope after this tried and tested way to start your holiday you would fully enjoy your time at 2 Les Villettes, in the bay of Mont St Michel as we do. You will also find the guest book and information book with the codes for the superfast free wi-fi.
This is our French farmhouse, our little haven in the beautiful French countryside, set in 5 hectares of its own land, it’s the most relaxing place I know and if you know me you’ll know I appreciate relaxing properly.
Outside here is lovely with an outside area in front of the house with a covered pizza oven, barbecue and bar area, also a fire pit in the centre and a high bar with 4 tractor seat stools, there are 4 double pallet seats with extensions that are used as either tables or placed next to the seats to make outside double beds. This is a fantastic place to spend the warm days or lovely clear nights gazing at the stars which Claire says is her favourite part. With the pizzas eaten and the fire pit on and crackling away, everybody in our family just lays back smelling the herbs and citronella bushes planted around the edge, stares at the sky and natters and laughs until the early hours of the morning. The only disagreement occurs is when we disagree over the music on the playlist. We have installed the fastest broadband in the area, so there is no moaning over the downloading speeds.
Outside we also have a zen garden to one side of the house and sundowners terrace to the other, where you can sit and watch the sun come down over the Mont St Michel on a clear day. Our house has 3 double bedrooms 2 with double beds and one with 2 singles. The master bedroom has a luxurious roll top bath that I find myself soaking in and loosing all track of time. The bathroom has a large walk in shower and on clear days you can see Mont St Michel from the bathroom and master bedroom windows, this view never seems to get boring.
The kitchen Dining room is all hand crafted and has a 60mm Granit work surface, and given a rural, rustic French farmhouse style as you can see in the photos. The washing machine has been swapped for a dishwasher since these photos were taken due to popular feedback. This room is a very enjoyable space to spend time in all year round especially in the evening after a meal with a glass of something special with the family or friends.
Down stairs has a lounge area with a tv, Freesat, French tv and dvd player with settees and very comfortable hand upholstered large fireside wing back chairs.
We can accept payments in Euros or sterling.
The house has the fastest broadband in the area.
If you have any queries at all please don't hesitate to email me or contact me via the facebok page, I am more than willing to answer all questions, I have 3 children so I know sometimes the little details can really make a holiday great.
We have an information guide folder or 2 with lots of local information in places to go, eat, see, explore and experience, it also has important numbers of anyone you may need, my number, my uncle Danny and aunty Joy who live very nearby and can also help with any queries problems or questions in general, also ask them for tips on places to go and things to see. If they dont know about it, it isn't worth knowing about, live music, bars, restaurants, beautiful beaches, water sports and fishing lakes (Danny will be more than willing to talk about fishing).

We have 3 double bedrooms - the loft bedroom or master bedroom has a large double bed and I have installed a large roll top bath and a basin in the bedroom. I love taking long soaks in this room on clear evenings as the bath is angle so you can see Le Mont St Michel in the distance and all the beautiful French countryside in between. This bedroom really is a lovely space.
The 2 double bedrooms on the first floor have views out from the front of the house, 1 bedroom has an antique French wrought Iron double bed and the other has 2 single beds that can be pushed together. All duvets, pillows and bed linen is supplied, however if you require special mattress toppers or speciallist pillows please supply your own.
We have a travelcot you can use free of charge but please supply your own linen for this and we have a childrens bed guard as well but please if you are in doubt please contact me or supply your own, I have 3 grown up children now so I know how important these things are.
There is a roll top bath and basin in the master bedroom.
In the first floor shower room there is a large walk in shower, toilet and basin, and downstairs on the ground floor we have a cloakroom with a toilet and basin. We will supply some toilet tissue, some towels beach, bath and hand towels.
We have a modern gas combination boiler supplying both the hot water on demand and the heating throughout the house, we also have a logburner in the dining room. You can purchase logs from Danny who will pop along after you have checked yourself in and if you wish give him a call his phone number is in the information guide folder.
The bbq and pizza oven in the seating area at the front is a wonderful place and way to spend time, we also have English Freesat tv, French tv and a dvd player all attached to a large flat screen tv in the lounge.
The loal area provides lots of entertainment from lots of live music, English bands and French ones play venues like 'beer hunters' constantly. The standard is very high and if you get to see the band 'made in England' tell them Chris from Les Villettes said hello.
Please look at our 2 information guide folders and add things if you experience something great we'd all like to know, or please feel free to ask Joy and Dannys advice whose number will be in the guide or please feel free to contact me.
This is AMAZING please look at the photos as words dont do this justice. We have a large outside entertainment area at the front, with hand crafted garden furniture seats and tables that pull together to make 3 double sun beds, this area also has a bar with 4 tractor seat bar stools place around it, a fire pit in the middle and an under cover pizza oven and bbq with a polished concrete wrap around bar.
To the left of our house we have a simple shingled area with a couple of sun chairs that we call the sundowners terrace as this is where you will get the last of the sun and pretty much get the sun all day.
To the right behind a bush we have a 'Zen garden' somewhere to sit and think or meditate. Our property has 5 hectares of land so you are more than welcome to walk around it as you wish.
If you love outside space this is the place for you.
We have a long drive and parking for multiple cars, Outside space and parking is not a problem.
Families, couples, singles and parties are all welcome. If you have a disability and you are worried please contact me in confidence and I will try and help to discuss wether the property is suitable for you, we do want everyone to have a good time.
The one thing we would say you need to make the most of your time here is a car or transport, car, motorbike or bicycles which are incredibly popular around here.
The Tour de France has often passed very nearby and also the Tour de Manche.
Hi My name is Christopher, I am a property developer and I own 2 Les Villettes, My uncle and aunt moved to France permanently back in 2010 and whilst out with all the family one day we drove past this beautiful house and stopped as we saw the French ' A Vendre' sign and decided there and then that this was something special.<br/>We bought it and completely refurbished it with help from family and friends, with loving care and attention and this is the result. Now we would like to share it with you.

This is 10 to 15 minutes away by car, it is a world heritage site and you can see it quite clearly on a clear day from the bathroom window or any of the upstairs windows on the back of the house, I have positioned the bath in the loft bedroom so that on a clear day you can lay in the bath, stare out of the window and see his in distance on the horizon.
This is the local town about 2 minutes in the car with supermarkets, a small Carrefour and a large Super U.
There is a small market by the church on certain days of the week and shops, restaurants and a couple of local bars, the local boulangerie, the first shop you come to as you drive into town, is my favourite boulangerie in France and that is a grand statement.
A larger town about 12km from Les Villettes, It has everything form Aldi and a huge Carrefour to tiny family run restaurants and businesses, it also houses 'Les Mont St Michel manuscript'
About 15 to 20 minutes drive away, a lovely historic French town with a charming historic quarter and lots of shops and restaurants. A beautiful old castle that is definately worth a visit.
A small town with a lovely main road with good quality restaurants. It has a lovely market on certain days of the week.
You can take the 'route de la Baie' from Pontorson or Pontabault and follow this right up to Dinard taking in (my favourite place) Cancale for the best oysters fresh at the harbour, St Malo, Dinard, Cherrieaux, Dol de Bretagne and take roads off of it to some of the most beautiful beaches, just look in our guide book that we have put together for the things to do and places to go, or ask Joy and Danny my uncle and aunt they will definitely share their local knowledge quite happily.
This is definitely one of my favourite places only 5 to 10 minutes by car, this is a restaurant with a brocante that is run and owned by an artist, apparently everything you see is for sale furniture you sit on to eat, everything. It is set on the river so has fantastic views and every year it changes slightly and this makes it even more intersting. Sometimes you can hire pedalos out and go on the river.
The city of Rennes, about 45 minutes by car - what can I say, please google it as this city has such a lovely old quarter with fantastic resataurants and bars and make sure you visit the market its amazing.
