About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Catherine Fox

We purchased this 18th Century Farm Estate in 2013 and moved to France in 2017. We decided to retire very early from the Midlands area of UK after selling our business and property and are excited about opening our wonderful Farmhouse to the public whom we are sure will love France as much as we do. It is a slower pace of life with little stress and is much more laid back than the 'rat race' of life in the UK. <br/>The views over the Normandy countryside from our farmhouse are truly amazing.

Year property purchased 2012
Why this location? Before moving to Normandy we had many fabulous holidays in this area and fell in love with the diversity this area has to offer. You can make the holiday as busy or as relaxed as you want there is plenty to do if you want to get about but is also perfect to sit and relax and read a book.
Unique benefits of property The views over the Normandy countryside from our Farmhouse are truly amazing. I still get excited by all the different things Normandy has to offer and being located on the Normandy/Brittany boarder allows you to go sightseeing/relax at the beach, or shopping what ever you want this location has something for everyone. Come and see you will love it.

The property is situated in a rural area with a couple of small villages nearby. There are larger towns within easy driving distance for shopping or sightseeing.
We were welcomed on arrival by Catherine who made us feel very welcome and gave a tour of the property.
The property itself was very clean, spacious and well equipped. It was comfortable and we felt at home straight away. There is good quality Wi-Fi and English TV.
We were blessed with great whether so we made full use of the garden which had the required amount of furniture to sit or lay on and appreciate the setting.
We have a dog and he enjoyed the garden and met Shaun & Catherine's dog [Napolean], they enjoyed playing alongside each other across the fence.
This property is very well hosted and is ideal for couples looking for a quiet relaxing break with or without their pet. Shaun and Catherine provide a warm welcome ensuring you have a comfortable stay and provide plenty of advice on local attractions and amenities.

We have just returned from an amazing stay at foxes farm, had the most amazing time. Catherine and Sean were the best hosts we have ever encountered having done many breaks they really had thought of everything we could have possibly needed and were on hand to help us with local things of interest, they really do have a vast knowledge of the area they live in and also further away, giving us personal directions that were easy to follow, really an exceptional couple with a warm and friendly manner.
Even when we ventured off on our own and used our phones as sat navs never once did we find that our connection dropped which in this day and age we all rely on quite heavily in a rural area I did think this may be a problem but it never was to our relief.
With beautiful places to see or just the beautiful view we woke up to every morning we had the most amazing time so much so we are returning again in September which is unlike us as we like to visit new places but there is still plenty we want to explore there and we both know Catherine and Sean will both be there on hand once again. Can’t wait to see them both again.

Owner response

Many Thanks
