About the Owner/Advertiser, Mr Chris + Sally

After enjoying holidays in the beautiful areas of Manche and Orne in Normandy for several years, we were lucky enough to be able to buy this beautiful cottage late in 2014. We use the cottage for our own holidays in France, and in 2015 we decided to make it available for rental to other guests as well.

Year property purchased 2014
Why this location? We love the beautiful scenery of this part of Normandy, which can be enjoyed by car, bicycle and foot. It is such a peaceful place where we can relax and unwind, but also take part in activities such as kayaking, and sightseeing. The roads are quiet and the cottage is easily reached from all major ports and airports in northern France. The weather is sunny and warm during the summer months, and for the winter months, the cottage is a cosy retreat to return to after days out.
Unique benefits of property Our cottage is detached with its own private garden, but is a short walk to the village bar and boulangerie. It has two living rooms making the accommodation flexible enough to sleep 4 people in two separate rooms. It is a cosy retreat in winter months due to the log fire in the main living room, and during the summer months you can enjoy the views from the sun trap garden. We also provide a welcome gift of local produce on arrival to make your holiday even more special.

My wife and I spent a week at Mantilly cottage and loved it. The cottage is located at the edge of the village ind is very private. The cottage was exactly as advertised and spotless.
Chris & Sally were very helpful with their folder on the property and the guest book was a mine of information. We based most of our trips out on other visitors recommendations.
The garden has sun until early evening and the sun loungers were very welcome for some after lunch chilling.
I highly recommend this lovely little cottager and will be booking again in the future

Mantilly Cottage is a very comfortable place to stay and the owners have provided everything that you need. It is in a quiet village location so is very peaceful. The local area has little traffic and is great for cycling. There are plenty of larger towns and villages to visit by car nearby, which are great for historical interest and also eating out and shopping. There are also plenty of lovely walks in this beautiful area.

Owner response

Thanks so much for taking the time to write this review Christine. It was a pleasure to have you both stay and we hope you will stay again at some time in the future. Chris and Sally
