On the ground floor, off the corridor is a family wet room with two sinks and a large custom built mosaic bath, ideal for young children.

On the mezzanine floor there is a shower room and wc.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Belinda Prince

Lee and I are totally in love with France! We bought our first property here in 2007, a charming Normandy cottage. In 2015, we fulfilled our ambition to own a chateau - we bought Chateau Mareuil, a petit medieval chateau right in the middle of France. We are very excited as Chateau Mareuil is to be featured on "Escape to the Chateau - DIY" in the Spring of 2019! We now live here in France; our Normandy cottage, petit chateau and our studio apartment are all available for your next holiday.

The cottage is situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by stunning views of neighbouring fields. Our children loved being able to walk to see the cows/ sheep and horses. It was so peaceful, they both slept so well too! About 5 minute drive from Lonlay-l’abbeye which is a beautiful, quaint little town. Also very close to Fleurs and Domfront to go to super markets and shop, as well as visit the local park and farmers market. We would highly recommend this beautiful and spacious cottage.

We had a lovely few days staying at La Mare. The gite is rural which is just what we were looking for! Inside it's very cosy, with log burners in both the kitchen and living room and we really enjoyed just relaxing and going for long walks in the local area. The kitchen is very well equipped so some lovely meals were cooked, plus the wet room downstairs was a bonus!

Owner response

Thanks Angela, really glad you enjoyed your time at La Mare and hope you will return one day!
