The cottage was for decades the Bakery for the hamlet of Les Ligneries. The cottage was converted between 2015 and 2019 into a gite with an open planned living and dining area on the ground floor, with a staircase leading to a double bedroom with a shower and wc.
The property has a suite of garden furniture on the terrace where guests can dine or bbq, and access the extensive garden area.
From the guest parking area guests have their own access path directly to the cottage.
The kitchen is equipped with an electric stove, fridge, dishwasher, microwave cooker and coffee making machine.
Guests can dine in the cottage where there is a dining table with 4 chairs, or on the terrace where there is an additional table and chairs.
The living room has a sofa (which can convert to an additional double bed) 2 armchairs, a coffee-table and tv.
The bedroom has a double bed, side tables, dressing table with mirror and hanging space for clothes.
The bathroom has a shower and wc.
The cottage has radiators in all rooms. In addition there is a wood burning stove in the living room and wood is provided free of charge.
The property has a television which can pick up the UK main channels, and wi-fi.
The Bakery is set in 2 acres of an old orchard and guests are welcome to sample whatever fruit is in season.
Parking is on site and a short distance from the Bakery.
The inside of the property is a non smoking area. There is a short flight of stairs between the living room and the bedroom.
Mike and Jacqui bought the property in 1992 and since then they have continued to develop it whilst retaining the character of a farmhouse which is 200 years old. Both of the owners are outdoor enthusiasts (Mike climber Everest in the 1990s) and they can advises guests on where to walk, cycle or fish, or where to simply relax and enjoy what the Suisse Normand has to offer.
