On your Bike!!

Villages to visit

Murat, Salers & Saint Flour are all of historic importance and are well documented. The local tourist offices provide written tour guides and walking maps.

Walking & Hiking

The area abounds with well documented walking routes. All easily available directly from the house. Don't hesitate to ask for details. A local IGN map is available in the house and can also be provided on demand.

What to eat

It is highly recommended to taste the local cuisine. Truffade, Aligot, Tripoux, Chou farci, Tarte à la Tomme et Cornets de Murat. The Auvergne is famous for its cheeses and rightly so, Cantal, Saint Nectaire & Bleu d'Auvergne for example. The route des fromages d'Auvergne is worth a visit. Lots of local producers open their farms to visitors.
