Some of our guest's reviews:
"We had the most wonderful stay at Labaurie and a most welcoming reception throughout our stay. I would highly recommend Labaurie for someone who is ready to unwind and relax in the tranquil setting of the estate"
"Chateau de Labaurie is so beautifully situated on the edge of Chalais in extensive grounds, which have been developed beautifully into a tranquil location. All of our very large family enjoyed the use of the pool and it was so nice to share it with other families who were on holiday there too, which kept everyone happy. The site is small enough to be peaceful, but large enough not to feel isolated - for us, a perfect combination! The Chateau is also well located to visit the local markets and we particularly enjoyed a canoe ride along the river from Aubeterre and some nearby lake beaches. We can highly recommend the Chateau de Labaurie as a relaxed place to take your family away on holiday".

A very nice break Maison du Bucheron
"First impressions are very good. The Chateau overlooks the main road and the instructions for getting up the hill and into the driveway were good (sometimes these will drive you mad if they are wrong as you are always tired after the drive).
The property was very clean and well presented and the tv worked for UK sat as in the brochure. When there was a problem as minor shortage in the kitchen, our hosts (Elaine and Mr Bev) addressed it straight away.
There was plenty of sunbeds outside each unit facing the pool and a lot more actually around the pools edge.
You must try the food at the local Chateau recommended by Elaine. The food was excellent and very good value (and the owner speaks good English also 50% of their patrons are UK people). The village of Aubeterre is close by and a visit to St Emillion is a must. We only had time to go to Bordeaux for one day. You must try the park and ride its so good and very cheap

From the start of our enquiry for our holiday to the booking, all questions answers and so helpful.
From out first glance of the chateau in the distance to arrival. We knew this was going to be a very special and memorable holiday for years. Cannot recommend Maison Du Bucheron highly enough. We drove through the 2 fields, through a tunnel of trees and was greeted by a deer running across the grounds. Arrived on a Friday evening to a really warm and friendly welcome. Glass of wine and nibbles on the table.( more than a glass by the time we had finished) Felt like we had known the owners for years in such a short space of time.Such a great feeling. What more could someone ask for. Like home from home. We have never holidayed like this before, normally sat on a beach and that's it for 2 whole weeks. The grounds are stunning, and I managed to take a couple of 5K runs whilst we visited to make the most of the views.
The Gite we stayed in was exactly how described. Very clean and fully equipped. Really beautiful.
The pool was great and had enough beds round to share......
Weather was hot and the 2 days we spent round the pool, relaxing got a great tan.
Elaine and Bev are just great people and are always happy to help no matter what, from info on where the markets are, to the sights and places to visit.
We are so impressed and will definitely be returning for another great holiday.
Thank you from lovely holidayguests for the lovely review. No hesitation in welcoming this friendly couple to come back again for a Holiday.
The advert description was very accurate, the property was clean and well-maintained.
The owners were both very nice people and were always willing to help if help was required.
We would definately recommend the property to others.
The swimming pool at the Chateau was always kept in a clean condition.
We visited the Monday morning market at Chalais, Aubeterre-sur-Dronne and St-Emilion and enjoyed them all.
