About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Carol Robinson

I have always worked in the travel industry and my husband has always worked in the building industry, we came to France to live in 2008 so that our 2 children then aged 5 & 6 would be bi-lingual, have a beautiful garden to play in and learn about nature. I think we have achieved that and managed to spend more time with them than we could have in England.

Year property purchased 2006
Why this location? Second best sunshine hours for France after the Cote d'Azur
Unique benefits of property Rural enough to have fantastic wildlife, peace and quiet but just a few minutes drive into the medieval town of Confolens.

The Owner Recommends

Vallee des Singes

Monkey park where you can get up close to the animals. Also a great climbing area for your own 'little monkeys'

This is an excellent spacious gite beautifully modernised and well maintained. It is located a comfortable distance via small shared drive from the main road between Conflons and Bellac. The owners, who live on site, are very friendly and helpful offering client privacy and providing unobtrusive support when needed.

The gite has a very effective heating system so could also be an ideal property for a winter break.

There is a local fishing lake within less than 10 mins drive, for those inclined and a few good restaurants located is various villages scattered around. This is a beatiful part of France for those wishing to visiting “points of interest” and are prepared to drive.

We have not hesitation in recommending this property and shall return ourselves in the future.

Owner response

Thank you for your kind comments and we do hope to see you both in the future, so pleased that the unusually cool weather for September did not stop your enjoyment.

The Gite was lovely and Carol and Peter were very welcoming. This is a great Gite for families and there is much to do in the area. However not so great for adults locally. Limoges was worth a visit and has great restaurants.

The terrace could be more private.

Very pretty area.

Owner response

The patio area is now more private with the addition of lattice fencing and plant screening, thank you for your comments. The area is very rural but most of our guests find plenty to see and do, we are always very happy to suggest some excursions.
