I have always worked in the travel industry and my husband has always worked in the building industry, we came to France to live in 2008 so that our 2 children then aged 5 & 6 would be bi-lingual, have a beautiful garden to play in and learn about nature. I think we have achieved that and managed to spend more time with them than we could have in England.
|Year property purchased||2006|
|Why this location?||Second best sunshine hours for France after the Cote d'Azur|
|Unique benefits of property||Rural enough to have fantastic wildlife, peace and quiet but just a few minutes drive into the medieval town of Confolens.|
Monkey park where you can get up close to the animals. Also a great climbing area for your own 'little monkeys'
The Gite was lovely and Carol and Peter were very welcoming. This is a great Gite for families and there is much to do in the area. However not so great for adults locally. Limoges was worth a visit and has great restaurants.
The terrace could be more private.
Very pretty area.
