|Why this location?||The Charente is without doubt a beautiful region in France which has a varied landscape appealing to all ages. The weather is also a major attraction because it has endless hours of sunshine equal to the Mediterranean climate. The landscape is gentle with its rolling hills and the light is clear, sharp and bright creating picture perfect views. It is always a pleasure to come back again and again!|
|Unique benefits of property||It is in a central location in one of the most beautiful villages in France. The property is large so that it can accommodation two families or a large party of people. This is often referred to a 'little Venice' with a river that flows around the town. Great day out for everyone.
Market held every Monday morning
12th century, this is the largest subterranean church in Europe, Its original purpose was to conserve religious artefacts in a series of pits, and in a reliquary (“a container of Holy relics”), inspired by the Sepulchre in Jerusalem, which was discovered during the First Crusade at the end of the 11th century.
This is next door with some excellent styles of pots for sale
Market every Friday morning
Only a short drive fantastic village with a huge choice of world renown wines and restaurants
We loved Graham's Retreat. It was a lovely property with plenty of space and large rooms. Although the temperatures were approaching 100 degrees F outside, most of the house remained cool both day and night.
The sun terrace is a fantastic spot to sunbathe or relax during the evenings and has wonderful views of the countryside.
The village centre and the river beach was only 5 minutes walk so you can park your car and walk everywhere.
I cannot fault anything really and will be recommending this property to family and friends
