My family and I decided that we wanted to have a more relaxed lifestyle and to enjoy and explore the country of France with it's beautiful scenery and hotter climate enabling us to do more outdoor activities and benefiting from having more open space around us. My husband has always been working on building sites in the UK and he is continuing to work here as a builder and has far less stress here and enjoys renovating beautiful old characterful properties.
|Year property purchased||2008|
|Why this location?||We chose the Charente as firstly being the second sunniest region in France but the countryside is so picturesque with plenty to do and see here and not having a large volume of traffic makes it a pleasure to explore all the quaint little villages and châteaux in abundance.|
|Unique benefits of property||Our property is situated in a rural quiet spot away from main roads with wonderful countryside views all around yet central to local towns for sightseeing and only 3kms from the village with all the essentials should you need them. We accommodate up to 11 people which is proving very popular with multiple families and friends together. Having the complete privacy and sole use of the pool and house makes it more appealing to guests and as we are situated on site (away from the house) also is reassuring to guests in case of any queries or information that they may need during their stay with us. The house is spacious and there is plenty of room outside for children to run around and play outdoor games. The property is very well equipped with free wi-fi and English satellite tv. We also provide travelcots, stairgates and highchairs for the younger guests. Sorry, no pets allowed.|
