About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Heather Brice

We came to live in this area of South West France 25 years ago, partly for the sense of adventure and partly for the weather! We settled happily in to the French way of life in a nearby village, bringing up our young family and working and then had the chance to move to the amazing Logis La Cabane, close to Cognac.

Year property purchased 1999
Why this location? Situated between Cognac and the coast, Logis La Cabane has the benefit of being in the glorious French countryside (vines, sunflowers...) but is not far from lots of interesting towns, villages and holiday activities.
Unique benefits of property Logis la Cabane is exceptionally baby, toddler and child friendly with absolutely everything that you could need for a holiday that will be idyllic for Mum and Dad as well as the kids.

The Owner Recommends

Lots to See and Do in the Area

There is so much to do around here that you probably won't have time to mange everything. As well as visiting local markets and brocantes, bistros and cafes your children will enjoy fun activities like the Paleosite Stone Age Centre, Tree Climbing at Fontdouce Abbey or the little boats at Saint Savinien. You might also need to leave time for Cognac tasting of course, a day out in La Rochelle, the beautiful Atlantic beaches, cycling down the sunflower paths, historic Saintes and Angouleme.... the list is endless.

Logis La Cabane was a very characterful & tranquil place.
We were in one of 3 gites but each had its own private outdoors area within the lovely garden.
Our teenagers enjoyed the badminton & table tennis & of course the sheltered pool which provided hours of fun!
A short drive to the pretty town of Cognac with plenty of choice for shopping.
The owners Heather & Philip were very welcoming & friendly & relaxed about the noises of glee coming from the pool! Their very amiable dog provided another element of enjoyment as our dog deprived children were allowed to take him for a walk!
I would thoroughly recommend Logis La Cabane for a great family holiday.
