All our gites have private, courtyard gardens with stone-built barbecues and dining areas.

There is a communal area with a washing machine, a small library, children’s beach toys and field games. If you’d like a break from the sun, there’s our open barn with table tennis and seating too.

'La Ferme' (once a farmhouse) is our largest gite with 3 bedrooms, sleeping 6. There is a spacious courtyard with an outside dining table for 6, its own stone barbecue and a small herb garden.

The Owner Recommends

Le Square Restaurant, Aigre

Friendly and welcoming. Le Square do amazing pizzas and offer a very reasonably priced children's menu. The service is usually quick which can be important when you've got hungry little ones.

BSweet Boulangerie, Verdille

Five minutes drive away - fabulous patisserie, bread and croissants. Very friendly staff - some of whom speak English. They provide desserts to our children's school and it's always a huge hit!

Bike Hire Direct or Dispovelo

We're surrounded by quiet lanes, ideal for cycling either with the family, in a group or alone.

Zoodysee

We pack a picnic and make a full day of it. (We can provide all your picnic plastics, cool box, etc etc) There are shady picnic tables near the car park.
There's lots of shade as you go around and it's very child-friendly. There are reptiles, birds and animals (including wolves) in plenty of space, well-kept and as they say - 'rencontres a l'etat pur'. There's also a cafe for ice-creams, drinks and snacks. English speaking staff. Check out the website for more information. Our kids loved it.

Les Petits Bateaux

At Saint Savinien, we were amazed - beautiful riverside location with plenty of picnic opportunities. This leads to a play-park area with cafe/restaurants and then to Les Petits Bateaux. Think miniature motorised cross-channel ferries or fishing boats that you drive around a man-made canal first (to get your bearings) before you're let loose on the lake. Our children were allowed to drive with our assistance and life-jackets are provided. (It's not very deep).
There's also a very quaint fairground area with a small go-kart circuit, merry-go-round, inflatables and boat swings.
