We are a couple who enjoy France and want others to share our experience. My partner Janet speaks fluent French and has a lively interest in Antiques and Brocantes. I like sport and thoroughly enjoy cycling, playing golf and now watching rugby.<br/>We are very lucky to have the Bordeaux wine region on our doorstep, as well as local Charentais wine and Cognac 35km away. There is a wealth of history in the area from King Richard, the Battle of Poitiers and the escape route of the Cockleshell heroes.

|Why this location?||We wanted to be close enough to the Channel ports to be able to easily drive to Nanteuil in the day. We are an hour away from Bordeaux and the Gironde estuary and an hour from the Atlantic Coast near La Rochelle. You can be in Paris in 2 hours on the fast train which runs every half hour. It is an ideal destination to explore French life and be able easily to explore the surrounding region. Nanteuil en Vallee is also very proud to be listed as one of the 10 prettiest villages in France. The village has 2 great restaurants, a Pizzeria, 2 village shops including a butchers and a Depot Pain, a Doctor's and Pharmacy and all of these within 200 metres of our property.|
|Unique benefits of property||It can provide you with whatever you want, a romantic retreat, an activity based holiday (cycling and walking), and being able to relive history. We have plenty of room, we are centrally located, have a summer terrace on which you can bbq or just sit and indulge yourself. The Main House used to be the village school but that ceased when the village was occupied in the Second World War.|
