I came to France with my late husband in 2002. I'm 71 years of age and I love quizzes, singing, and crosswords. I enjoy meeting people, I talk a lot and am considered a very happy smiley person by my friends although they could be biased.
|Year property purchased||2002|
|Why this location?||It's the second sunniest region in France. Having looked around the area there was enough for guests to see and do to ensure they would have a lovely active or relaxing holiday as both options are available in the area. Lastly I wanted to renovate a property using the benchmark that if I'd saved up all year for my holiday would I be happy with what I found when I arrived and the price of this property and renovation costs allowed us to do that. The other factor was safety for children and as the courtyard and grounds are totally enclosed that was a huge plus point so everyone including mum and dad could have a wonderful holiday.|
|Unique benefits of property||Semi rural but definitely not remote. Complete safety for children. Amenities such as a Supermarket, cafes and restaurants, bank, Post Office, pharmacy etc are only 4km from my property. Several lakes close by with sandy man made beaches, safe swimming (lifeguard on duty throughout August) pedalos, picnic areas, games etc. My garden is set out so that there is a play area for the smaller children offering swings, see saw, desk /chair, childrens' games, a padding pool and sand pit, there is a separate are for the older children offering he opportunity to play with a basket ball net, football net, cricket, electronic darts and a badminton set. There is a 10 x 5 meter above ground pool which has a decked area accessible through safety gate.|
