We moved to France in 2007, from the Yorkshire Dales, with our daughter and created our gite complex from scratch! We live on-site and renovated an old cottage and converted a barn into 2 more gites - it's very quiet at Tranquille Vienne!

Guerlie beach is just a 10 minute drive from us and a very popular place our guests go to. With a lovely long sandy beach, designated swimming area in the lake (life guard on during high season) snack bar, mini golf and watersports.

Some local history. A village that was attacked by the Germans during the war, has been left as a tourist attraction - a must see.

Julie and guy were great hosts there if you needed anything or information on local things couldn’t fault anything,with teenagers there was still plenty to do wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it
