La Belle Maison is a beautiful charentaise country house built around 1850 for a local doctor/farmer. It has its own large shady terrace to the front of the property. In front of the terrace is a large private mature garden, mainly laid to lawn, with palm trees, cedars, pines and acacia. There is a barbecue and comfortable outdoor furniture. Free wi-fi available. Sleeps 5.
There is a beautiful 12 x 6m swimming pool looking over the fields for guests staying here as well as a private garden to relax in.
The Bruet is a four cottage complex that is set in four acres of beautiful private parkland, offering plenty of space to kick a ball, play badminton or boules. Located in the peaceful village of Yviers in the south Charente close the Dordogne.
Situated 4 km from the market town of Chalais with its Restaurants, bars, shops and the Monday morning market. Aubeterre is officially listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France and is within a 15 minute drive, offering a river beach with children's play areas, fishing, swimming, canoeing and picnic areas. Brossac lake beach is 4km and has a lovely Restaurant, water sports and mountain bike routes suitable for all abilities.
There is a lovely spacious kitchen/dining room feature as log burner and is fully equipped with a cooker, fridge, microwave dishwasher and washing machine, and everything you need for your stay. The kitchen is situated close the outside terrace for eating outdoors as well as having you own barbecue.
There is a very traditional French lounge with oak flooring and original fire place and windows. Flat screen tv French and English tv if required with 2 sofa's for relaxing. as well as free wi-fi. (can be intermittent during storms)
There are 2 spacious bedrooms each with oak flooring original wooden windows and fireplaces. The bedrooms stay cool during those hot summer months and both have lovely views of the garden and rolling countryside. with comfortable king size in one and up to 3 singles in the other. Bed linen and towels for indoor use are provided.
Bathroom with a shower toilet and basin with lovely view.

A weekly get together with other guests in the barn with music and wine.
