Hello - a few years back my husband and I decided to come to France for a look and see! We thought we should have an adventure while we were still young enough to move about unaided. The kids had left home and there was nothing to stop us.... so we sold up in the UK and rented a property and started house hunting in earnest.<br/>We looked for about 3 months and were on the verge of moving to another area when we found Sainte-Terre. House with a view and a potential business. So here we are.`

|Why this location?||We chose this location because it is very quiet and beautiful but also close enough to amenities for every day practicalities. Plus good transport links, airports, ferries and trains. Also, from a tourist point of view, there are plenty of places of interest nearby to visit. Abbeys churches and chateaux galore. Futuroscope, Vallée de Singe, man made lakes with sandy beaches. Music festival at Cognac and a dance festival in Confolens - in Angoulême the cartoon festival and the race around the ramparts in vintage cars all add to the variety of things to do here. With plenty of bars and restaurants that provide a good range of either fine dining or plat de jour to suit every palate and purse. If you fancy kayaking there is the Charente nearby with experts on hand. Mostly I enjoy walking in the woods and paths near to the property.|
|Unique benefits of property||The thing that is special about Le Logis Gite is that it provides our guests with peace and quiet in an ideal environment to recharge ones batteries. Outside there is a lovely private garden surrounded by fields with uninterrupted views of the countryside. There is a selection of wildlife and many birds - hoopoes are my favorite and red squirrels which I adore. At night because there is no light pollution the stars are quite incredible. And during the day, according to an artist who was renting the gite, the light is unique and perfect for painting.
Inside everything is provided to ensure guests have everything they need. The kitchen has been recently upgraded and is well stocked with plenty of utensils and pots and pans. There is a very comfortable sitting area with a sofa and an armchair plus a table and chairs for dining. Upstairs is a good size bedroom with en suite and king size bed. Everything has been thought of to provide you with a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
