Hello - We are Carolyn and Eddie Walsh, we bought our beautiful home last year and have been renovating the gite since December. We took early retirement to enjoy France and spend quality time together enjoying our long time dream. We bought our three cats with us and they have been joined by three chickens, but soon to be six. We have four grown up children and three grandchildren, whom we can’t wait to visit for holidays. We can’t wait to welcome you to our home .

|Why this location?||The Charente is set in south west France and we are ideally placed between three airports, Bordeaux, Limoges and Bergerac, so it’s very easy to get to us.
We also have some of the best wine regions in France within an hours drive, including St Emilion, Medoc, Bordeaux, and Bergerac. We even have Cognac just down the road. Fishing, cycling and walking are also extremely good here.
|Unique benefits of property||Our property is stone built with many original features like a fully functional bread oven, beams, stone walls. We have 2 acres of land surrounding our home, the gite and the barn. We have a lovely walk in, in ground pool, which can be heated from April until the weather warms it and also making the season longer. Our village has a shop, baker and a bank as well as two restaurants and a bar, a fifteen minute walk away.
We are ideally placed for people house hunting in the Charente, Charente Maritime and parts of the Dordogne. We can of course assist you.
