About this property

A Rual Country Property with Private Pool . This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

The holiday house is on one level located along a quiet lane just 2 km from the nearest village of Saint Severin, Charente and is 10k from Aubeterre-sur-Dronne. This is a small village with a café, bakers, Italian restaurant, small Spar supermarket, bar, hairdressers and village hall, Post Office, tabac and even a little play park. There is also a doctors, pharmacy and access to tennis courts, local football, miniature golf.

The house was a former stable block which was converted and extended in the 1980’s according to local knowledge. The room proportions are well organised with all of the rooms on one level with bedrooms at one end of the property and the kitchen and living room at the other. There are 3 generous size double bedrooms. There are 2 with king size double beds and the third bedroom has 2 single beds. All of the rooms have a window that opens onto the terrace and have access to the views. These are accessed along a corridor through a door from the kitchen/dining room. The kitchen can seat 6 to 8 people round the dining room table very comfortable. There is an electric double oven and dishwasher with a gas hob. It has 2 tall fridge-freezers ideal for hot summers one used to keep drinks cool and another for food. The shower room and toilet is next to the kitchen with a large walk in shower, toilet and washbasin. At the front of the house is the sitting room with 3 windows with views to the countryside. It has conformable chairs, tv, and cd player. There is an annexe ‘summer room’ for storage with barbecue.

Another annexe house called the ‘pool room’ with a table tennis table and is located beside the pool with sunloungers. The pool has roman steps leading into a 10 x 5 ground pool. The pool is on higher ground which gives it panoramic views almost like an infinite pool.

Parking is behind the pool house and there is room for 3 cars to park. There are extensive grounds which are grassed and it also has an orchard which is at the far end of the property land.

It is peaceful, private and equipped to enjoy summer holidays with the pool and barbecues, autumn breaks or even winter retreats with a woodburner and central heating.
* please note minimum stay in July and August is 7 days starting and ending on a Saturday



Kitchen and dining

The kitchen has a dish washer and an fan oven. It has every day crockery and dining crockery. There are 2 fridges, 1 for food and the other used for drinks particularly useful in the summer months
