The gites were originally 18th Century stone barns and we have converted them into beautiful self catering holiday accommodation.
Decorated and furnished to an exceptionally high standard, the gites are brimming with charm and character. With families in mind, we have blended modern comforts with our quirky vintage finds to create stylish and relaxed interiors which are totally family friendly.
Set within a blissfully tranquil, walled garden the holiday cottages offer a haven of peace and an opportunity to escape to the countryside and experience the simple pleasures of French life. Within striking distance of large towns and the stunning beaches of the Atlantic coast, they also provide the perfect base for exploring the beautiful, unspoilt region of the Charente Maritime.
The gardens are safe and child-friendly with a large lawned area for children and toddlers to roam freely and to play on the swings, slide or build châteaux in the sandpit. The swimming pool is heated and fenced for safety. We welcome children of all ages from babies to teenagers and have provided everything you need for the perfect French family holiday including a bottle of chilled champagne for the adults.
Our aim is for you to completely relax here so we have equipped each gite with everything you need to feel totally at home during your family holiday.
The kitchens have hand painted units and high quality appliances including a dishwasher, washing machine, large fridge-freezer, with chilled champagne, electric cooker, induction hob, and microwave.
There is an open plan dining area with table and seating for 6.
In the sitting room you will find comfortable sofas, armchairs and painted furniture accessorised with some of our vintage pieces. The flat screen tv has English channels and there is a dvd player, iPod dock and free wi-fi. Numerous books, toys and games are available for all ages.
There are 3 bedrooms - a king, a double and a twin so we can accommodate 6 adults. There are 2 cots available.
There is a large family bathroom with wc. Downstairs there is a shower room with wc.
Tv, dvd's, books, board games, chalk table, wi-fi, badminton, tennis, football, swimming, and boules.
The large, walled gardens offer an extremely safe, child-friendly area for playing, with fruit trees affording shade from the sun. There are swings, slide, small trampoline and trikes. Young children can build their own château in the sandpit or potter about happily trying to catch Twiglet the cat! Older ones may like badminton or trying their hand at a game of boules. There is plenty of room for a game of football with Dad.
The pool is heated, we aim for 29°C, has a Roman end with steps making it very family friendly. It is fenced for total safety with child-proof gate and is surrounded by flowering shrubs. The decked area has parasols and teak steamer chairs with plump cushions. Arm yourself with a good book, iPod or just your own thoughts and feel the stress melt away.
Parking at the rear of the gite.

Babies, toddlers and older children are extremely well catered for. Cots, stairgates and plenty of baby and child equipment are at your disposal to ensure your family holiday goes smoothly.
