We are a 15 min drive from the market towns of Matha and Aulnay, where you will find supermarket shopping, and hypermarket shopping available in Cognac or St Jean d'Angely which is are around a 30 min drive. The Atlantic beaches of Royan,Ile d'Oleron and the chic town of La Rochelle, Futuroscope park at Poitiers, and the chocolate factory at Angouleme are all a pleasant hour's drive away.

Golf: There are 3 good golf courses within 50 mins drive of Chez Gabrielle at Cognac, Saintes, and La Rochelle (by the sea).

Large living room with large woodburner, sofa, 2 armchairs and the stairs to the 1st floor. Full of charm with exposed stone walls and oak beams, this typically Charantaise room is double aspect and provides a cool place to sit and unwind.
The master bedroom has a king sized bed, an en suite shower room, and small balcony with stunning views over the countryside with its vinyards and sunflowers.
The other bedroom has twin single beds and exposed stone walls and beams.

A tv with Sky free to air channels and a dvd player are in the lounge, and Jasmin has wi-fi.
Jasmin has it's own terrace with a large table and chair which seats 6 under a large umbrella which is perfect for al fresco dining, and the main bedroom has a balcony with views over the countryside .

Parking is available in the entrance courtyard, but this is in full sun. if you prefer parking roadside in the shade of the barn is an option.

In 30-45 minutes you could play golf in Cognac or Saintes, take a lazy trip down the Charente, sample the wonders of the Cognac houses, or tread the path of the gladiators in the Roman amphitheater at Saitnes. 1 hour or so would have you sipping a nice glass of wine watching the boats in the harbour at chic La Rochelle, on the beach at Royan, or the futuroscope theme park at Poitiers... the choice is yours.
