About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Amanda Dickinson

Myself, husband and 2 boys arrived in this truly remarkable area in 2004 and soon found our ideal home. After several enjoyable years of renovation, our 2 lovely French cottages were finally finished. Now we are lucky enough to both be able to work part time, which enables us to spend real quality time with our children enjoying the very best of French life.

Year property purchased 2004
Why this location? We first came to France when my parents bought a property in Brittany, and soon fell in love with the easy lifestyle, endless summer sun, stunning countryside, the food and of course the wine. Now myself and my family have moved here permanently to enjoy the best of the countryside with endless vineyards and fields of golden sunflowers and we were only 50 minutes from some of the best beaches in Europe! It is a perfect location for families and our 2 sons simply love it, I think you will too.
Unique benefits of property The property is in a small hamlet, therefore benefiting from peace and quiet. The setting is truly unique as the gardens and pool are surrounded by woodland, as is the orchard. There is a huge games barn where kids and teens can safely play table tennis, pool, table football and take their pick of the mountain bikes and ride on toys.We also have a stunning summer house which is open onto the gardens where you can enjoy al fresco dining and also have some shelter from the sun for reading, along with wi-fi. From here you can see the inviting pool which is fenced for the security of little ones. The location is just fantastic for visits to zoos, aquariums, Cognac houses, beaches etc, but only 15 mins to some great restaurants.
