A spacious 4 bedroom family home with garden, a short walk from the beach.
The kitchen is fully equipped, including large fridge-freezer, dishwasher, coffee-machine.... There is also a breakfast table and a bar connecting to the lounge area.
There is a separate (open) dining area with a large dining table, and a further dining table in the veranda.
The large living area has a comfortable sofa, additional seating, a pool table, and a large flat-screen television with both French and UK channels.
There is also an additional lounge area in the veranda.
The 4 bedrooms are located on the first floor:
- 2 double bedrooms
- one twin room
- one bedroom with a "mezzanine" bed, and an additional campbed for use if required.
The main family bathroom is situated on the first floor, and has a bath with a shower enclosure, a large double sink and toilet.
The main bedroom has an en suite wash area with sink and an Italian shower.
There is also a separate toilet with washbasin downstairs.
The well-tended rear garden is completely enclosed. There is a table for outside dining with a large parasol, a lawned area for games, and a childrens swing.
There is one parking space on the property itself. The property is offset from the road by a triangular cul-de-sac, within which there are additional parking spaces for your use.
The utility room contains a washer-dryer for laundry.

|Why this location?||The property is located in a residential area, a short walk (8 minutes) from the centre of Chatelaillon. "Chatel" is a small town, famous for its "Belle Epoque" architecture and its beautiful 3km long sandy beach with views of Fort Boyard and the Island of Aix. It is classified as a "Station Balnéaire", meaning it has everything required for a perfect holiday location; cafes, restaurants, bars, a casino, evening concerts, a large twice-weekly street market... Chatelaillon is also just 10km south of the beautiful and historic town of La Rochelle, famous for the medieval towers protecting its old port, which is a must see. The islands of Re, Oleron and Aix are all very close by and perfect for day trips.|
|Unique benefits of property||The property was totally renovated in 2012. As a holiday rental it is a 'home away from home', with all the corresponding amenities you would expect. The open plan ground floor consists of a large lounge area with sofa and pool table, and a separate dining area. The fully equipped kitchen includes a small breakfast table, and the veranda and garden complete the setting for a perfect holiday location. The 4 bedrooms on the first floor sleep 7-8 guests.|

Just 25 minutes from the property lies the picturesque island, accessible via a 2.9km (1.8 mile) road bridge to the north of La Rochelle
A car-free island accessible via a lovely 20 minute boat ride from nearby Fouras.
We would definitely recommend this property for someone wanting a holiday in a place that is a home from home! Carine and Jon could not have been more helpful and the house was perfect for our holiday with another family and our kids. The house was in a lovely residential neighborhood and was clean and tidy with all you needed to self cater. It was a short walk from the beach and main area with restaurants and shops so plenty to choose from. It was also a short distance from the train station which was very handy for a quick trip into La Rochelle centre without the hassle of parking. All in all a great place to stay and we hope to be back again.
Chatelaillon-Plage is a lovely holiday resort and the holiday home is in a brilliant location about a 10 min walk to the beach, minutes from the Tourist Office and boulangerie and 10 minutes walk to the town centre and shops. The train station is close too and will take you to La Rochelle city centre in 10 minutes, a brilliant service and very cheap. The beaches are wide and are kept very clean, the tide goes out really far, we just made sure we visited at high tide.
The house was spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The pictures do not do the house justice, it’s really nice and a real home from home. English TV and WiFi kept everyone happy. We would highly recommend this property!

we stayed for 2 weeks in separate accomodation of Carine & Jon and in a way were ideal for us. the first week was a beach holiday as their home is 10 mins by foot to the beach at Chatelaillon Place and the second week was a gite at Puyvaurault with pool, large gardens, etc.
Carine & Jon made us very welcome in both places and always on hand to deal with issues, if any. the pool was very good, the jacuzzi even better and amenities like badminton, table tennis and the spare bikes were well catered for so that the kids could be kept busy.
the description of the properties was very accurate overall and the properties were quite clean and well maintained.
we had a great stay in both places and they are ideal for families with younger and/or older kids.
