Stunning former gentleman's residence of considerable character and spacious light rooms. Swimming pool, walled garden not over looked by neighbours (only the one bed gite which can also be booked) behind driveway entrance gates offering all day sunshine with lots of shaded spots including a magnificent al fresco kitchen and lounge.
The house has 3 bedrooms which are laid out as follows... master bedroom with en suite shower room, toilet and sink. Quadruple bedroom with fireplace, double bed plus additional double bed in the form of a sofabed, good for children to share or for a family of 4. Third double bedroom with double bed.

Formal dining room with Indian teak furniture. This large room doesn't get used much as everyone wants to eat outside which is why it has doubled up as a play room with lots of toys and a separate tv with dvd for children. This can be discreetly screened off when not required.
Lots of lawns and gravel for children to run round safe and secure. When the drive gates are shut it is impossible for a child to escape and the pool is walled off with child safety gate and pool alarm.
Al fresco kitchen has oven, grill, hob, concrete worktops, Belfast sink, bbq/fire pit, wood fired pizza oven and a cast iron chimnea next to the rattan sofa set. A games nook is in the area in the old barn with a pool table and table football. A sandpit with a lid is also in the area, making it perfect for busy Mums and Dads to keep an eye on children while cooking.

Additional double bed in the form of a sofabed, making it a large bedroom for a couple with 2 children wanting to share, or for 2 adults to share, possibly just used as a kids bedroom so they all go to sleep at the same time!
Double bedroom with double wrought iron bed and sloping roof with exposed limestone wall and beams painted white with charming low down Alice in Wonderland style window (iron grills half way up to prevent child falling out).

My name is Tim, a builder from Ilkley. I m a passionate Francofile and love our house and the French way of life. My family and I visit our house 3 times a year and are always adding extra touches.
|Year property purchased||2004|
|Why this location?||Second Sunniest part of France after the Cote D'Azur. Perfect central location to enjoy all the inland attractions as well as the sea. Great transport links for road rail and air all close. Lovely limestone houses and sunflower fields area around the village.|
|Unique benefits of property||So many. I would have to say that the outside kitchen and living area in the ancient stone courtyard is pretty special. It is bang splat in the middle of the main house and the guest cottage (these are the only 2 properties in the private grounds) making it a brilliant place to meet up for a lovely long lunch or the evening dinner.
The house is really well fitted out with stylish decor and so much equipment that you wouldnt expect to have in the kitchen, a real pleasure for the foodies out there.
A large 4k tv with 4k BluRay player, sound bar and massive dvd library would make us unique I suppose as opposed to a small tinny tv in the corner.
Huge bathroom with deep roll top bath is something we are lucky to offer as well as very well proportioned comfortably furnished rooms with lots of natural light.
We are baby and toddler friendly with stairgates, bed guards, a stroller, highchairs, cots, sippy cups, plastic crockery and cutlery, steriliser, loads of toys and books.
Fantastic half day out at one of Europes most well stocked aquairium. Lunch at the harbour people watching then off boutique shopping afterwards.
