A 3 bedroom island cottage with a parasol protected patio and access to a large garden shared with our family. The cottage is totally self contained with 2 double and one full size bunk bedroom. There is a shower room en suite and a separate shower room with a washing machine and tumble dryer. There are 2 separate wc's. Bed linen and towels are provided. The fully equipped kitchen has everything you may need including knives for opening oysters. There is a fridge-freezer, electric hob and oven, a dishwasher and the full range of cooking utensils. There is an extensive stock of pots, pans, plates, dishes and glasses. The patio has a table, 6 chairs, large parasol, 2 deck chairs, 2 benches and a bbq. Hydrangea and geraniums fill the pots so watering is appreciated. The living area has a dining table with 6 chairs, extensive cutlery and glasses. The sitting area has 2 settees facing the tv with dvd and cd player. The cottage is wi-fi enabled. The code will be provided on arrival.
The house is heated when necessary by electric radiators controlled by you. Hot water is provided automatically.
The property is looked after by a bi lingual local agent who knows the house as his own. We live next door.

The cottage has a private,parasol protected patio. The large garden is shared with my family. Sunbeds and loungers are provided.

There is free parking at the house.
The bedrooms are accessed via a steep circular staircase so the cottage is not suitable for anyone who has a mobility problem. I speak to guests before booking to ensure that there will be no difficulties.
I am an active retired professional. We live on-site. In the season my children and grandchildren live with us. We are totally independant neighbours.

|Why this location?||It is perfect. Easily accessed by road via ferry or Eurotunnel, by air from Stansted, Gatwick and by train to La Rochelle. Ile de Re is a flat cycling paradise - to the sea, the beach, the vineyards, the bars, restaurants and the sunshine.|

We are mid island with easy access to our village of Le Bois Plage, to the capital, St Martin, to La Flotte and to all the other villages of the island generally. We cycle to the beach via the market, to a different beach or market every day. We have amazing cafes, bars and restaurants in every village. The island is full of history, of adventure and peace and quiet. It is an island with everything within easy reach and the historic city of La Rochelle is on our doorstep.|
