Chez-Morin is a beautiful Charentais stone built house situated on the outskirts of the small village St. Georges Antignac and approx 7km from the market town of Jonzac, complete with "exclusive" 10m x 5m pool with Roman steps and a large completely private garden set among fields of sunflowers and vineyards. From the house there are numerous walks through the woods which are adjacent to the house.Bikes are available upon request.
We bought the property whilst on holiday in the area.
Although only our second visit to the area we found the way of life, countryside and so close to the beaches irresistible. We have rented the house for over 12 years and have had several repeat visitors.

Simply outstanding. The perfect, idyllic hide away from everyday life in beautiful, peaceful surroundings. This is the 2nd time we've been - no other holiday has ever matched the location, facilities and ability to recharge our batteries than Chez Morin. The house is lovely, with a genuine rural French farmhouse style. The grounds are well sized for the kids to run around and play in (and be securely enclosed in). Different dining areas around the property to eat wherever you feel like. An excellent, private, securely locked and clean pool (with lights!). The property is not overlooked, feels private and has gorgeous views of the landscape vista and is positioned perfectly for watching the sunsets. Excellent family restaurant in local Clion, a 2 minute drive away. Plenty of local Boulanger/Patisseries (again, a shot drive) and everything you need from Jonzac, about 15 mins away. Go to the food market/festival on Wednesdays to try amazing local produce and be entertained by the band. If you cycle - take your bike. I spent hours cycling round the endless, lazy villages - where locals will nod/wave as you pass. Be warned though - you'll be stopping every few minutes to take a photo! Graham and Karen could not be more helpful - just next door if needed (and will help right away), but leaving you well alone to your temporary home. Our family cannot recommend enough. We will definitely be back again to this wee haven...

Owner response

It was great to see you and your lovely family again and a big thank for looking after the house and leaving so clean and nice to see your parents again also.
Your comments made us feel so warm inside and make all the work and effort we put into the house worthwhile.
Really hope to see you here again one day
