Great gite in a wonderful location. Perfect size living space and having two bathrooms with showers is ideal for a family of five. The gite has a private outside area but we could also use the owner's huge garden. Our children enjoyed the trampoline and we all enjoyed the pool which is a great size. Very welcoming owners who live in their beautiful farmhouse, on hand whenever we needed a bit of local info. Jenny got hold of the key for the local tennis court for us as well - thank you for that!! Boulangerie in the local village, a vibrant bar/tabac and though we didn't eat in the auberge/restaurant, we did have fabulous freshly made take-away pizzas from there. Lots to see locally from Roman sites, medieval castles and towns, lakes, markets, La Rochelle just under 1.5 hr away making beaches within a driveable distance. Would recommend Montifault Gite - very relaxing, quiet location made for a fabulous two weeks.

This was a great holiday booked last minute. My daughter is studying French at A2 and needed to be immersed in the culture.

I would recommend this gite to anybody. Very peaceful and friendly.

Many thanks.

Owner response

Thank you! Really glad that you enjoyed your holiday & Eli was able to practice her French away from the class room in rural France! Best wishes Jenny.
