About this property

Luxury Stone Farmhouse with Large Pool. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

Chatenet is a lovely restored farmhouse, in a lovely rural setting of 4 acres of orchard and lawns.
 
The area has lots of bird life and wildlife, as we are surrounded by fields, which are often full of sunflowers in the summer months.
 
We have a large 12 x 6m swimming pool with a childproof locking gate and fenced surround, we also offer B&B to other guests, who occasionally share this pool. 
 
We have plenty of hammocks, sunloungers, outside tables and chairs, bbq and games such as outside ping-pong, table football and darts. Lots of space for everyone, with your own back and front terraces.

Please note 8 is the maximum amount of people we accept, this includes children & babies. Our grounds are for guests only, no other visitors are allowed at the property.
 
The house retains many of its original features, with oak beams, lovely stone fireplaces and woodburners, the house has full central heating and with the woodburners is great for winter lets.
 
There is lots to see and do in the area, and we can advise on days out. The property is also ideally situated for househunting. The house has 4 bedrooms, 3 doubles and a twin, each side has its own staircase with 2 bedrooms, and one bathroom. This makes it great if family and friends are sharing as they can have the house together, but have their own landing and bathroom and bedrooms. The town of Sauze Vaussais is only 2km away, here you will find bars and restaurants, banks hairdressers etc. The nearest supermarket, is only 1km from the house.
Please note there is occasional noise from the train line, do not let this put you of booking this stunning property, they do not run the trains during the night.

Early retirement brought me to this beautiful area of France, we have run this holiday business for 10 years after fully restoring these ancient stone barns, every day is a pleasure, as i am very keen on wildlife and the outdoors, and this lovely part of rural France does not disappoint. We have guests returning year after year, and these people with busy lives love the laid back atmosphere, the hammocks!, and the feeling of total relaxation.

Why this location? This is rural France at its best, the locals are very friendly towards us, and we have built up a good friendship with the local people. We are close to all amenities, the local supermarket/petrol station is only 1 km from our property.
Unique benefits of property The easy location to shops, banks, restaurants and bars is great, we can walk or cycle very easy on a quiet back road, through fields of sunflowers etc. The countryside around us is stunning, the properties are very spacious with lots of land, so football matches rounders tennis etc, can be played in the grounds but away from the houses. The pool is a big draw for people, it is set in a lovely spot, with a secure childproof gate and fence.
