We moved to La Cachette in La Chapelle Gaudin in May 2015 and have gradually been updating, and improving, the quality of the facilities and accommodation since then.<br/>We have come to France for some wonderful caravan holidays and loved the slower, laid back lifestyle and from that very first holiday we said that we would love to come and live here. It became clear that our work-life balance was not ‘balanced’ and it was time to take a step back hence the move to France and live the dream.

Thank you Karen & Graham for a wonderful gite and the much appreciated basket of goodies - especially as we arrived quite late. We enjoyed a very enjoyable week exploring the area. Your property is one of best presented we have seen in more than 30 years travelling to and living in France. The pool, grounds and the chooks are all delightful. A lunch at 'Le Lac' is very much recommended, a very enjoyable meal.
We hope to be back again in the not too distant future to make our return to living in France happen.
We had a fantastic time at La Cachette, Karen and Graham were excellent hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. The pool and gardens were great for our 2 boys (7 and 9) very secure and loads of places for them to roam. The village is very rural so be prepared to travel but within an hours there is lots of attractions and Puy Du Fou is a must. I would highly recommend La Cachette!
We stayed in this lovely give for one of the most relaxing holidays we have ever experienced. The owners were exceedingly friendly and welcoming and the Gite itself was immaculate and well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We had our own outside terrace that was fenced/screened off from the owners property giving you privacy whilst still enjoying the well kept, rural surroundings. We had an outdoor seating area as well as 2 sun beds and a large dining table and chairs and smaller bistro style dining set. The terrace lead straight out into an immense garden area perfect for family games. There was a swing set, goal and handy rotary line. Immediately to the left is the owners wood which we spent many hours wandering through looking for local wildlife. There was also a large back field perfect for playing with a dog and in the middle of the gardens was the main attraction, a fabulous swimming pool! We were able to go swimming pretty much whenever we wanted. Our weather was sometimes quite cool/breezy so the owners kept the pool covered with the conservatory style roofing which meant we were sheltered from the elements and the water remained lovely and warm! I have to admit that most of our holiday centred around fun and games in there. The property is set in a very rural location allowing for some relaxing walks along the local country lanes. There are local markets and beautiful old towns to visit as well more adventurous attractions. All in all it was perfect!
Thank you Claire for your lovely review, we hope to see you, Trevor and the girls again soon, they can practice their sequence dancing in the pool. I hope you will recommend La Cachette to your friends and family
Kind regards Karen
