We are a British couple who love France and have owned a holiday home there for 10 years, initially in the Languedoc and now in the Deux Sevres where we find the weather is just as good, but the drive far shorter! We also have family in the UK so we like to spend quite a lot of time here, and when our lovely house in France is empty, we're very happy that others can enjoy it as we do.

|Why this location?||Our house is on the edge of a small village in the countryside but only 25 minutes from La Rochelle and the wonderful, magical Ile de Re with its quaint villages and stunning beaches. And we are right in the heart of the Marais Poitevin - sometimes known as Venise Verte - ie Green Venice because of the hundreds of little rivers and streams that criss cross the countryside everywhere. You are never far from somewhere to hire a boat, or walk along a river bank enjoying the peace and quiet and wildlife. Indeed we have streams within a hundred yards of our house, and a boat hire place in the next village.|
|Unique benefits of property||Our house is perfect for extended families wanting to get together for holidays, reunions or family celebrations. We can sleep 12, have masses of outside space with swimming pool plus table tennis and also a well-equipped games room with snooker table, football table, Freeview tv and dvd player.|

Magical string of islands approached by a bridge from La Rochelle. This is where chic Parisians like to take their holidays. There are any number of quaint villages, decorated with hollyhocks, featuring narrow lanes, individual artisanal shops, bustling markets, salt-flats, and its own bustling port. Cycling is the way to see around here - and cycle hire shops are everywhere.
There is a bicycle hire place in the next village and miles and miles of open, flat countryside for cycling and exploring.
