Based in a small rural hamlet we offer plenty of space and a perfect place to relax away from the hustle bustle of everyday life. We are just a short car ride to supermarkets and other shops. The best of both worlds.

The Javarzay castle was reconstructed in 1514 by François de Rochechouart, governor of Genoa. Its one-time owners include the La Rochefoucauld family, the count of Pontchartrain (a minister of Louis XIV), Guillaume de Lamoignon de Malesherbes (lawyer of Louis XVI). All that's left of what was once the most imposing castle in Deux-Sèvres is the building bringing together the two towers and the chapel. The left wing was destroyed long ago, and the right wing constructed at a later date. The walls were demolished between 1820 and 1824, and the sculptures disappeared. In 1862, the Javarzay castle was awarded the status of a historical monument, which now houses a headdress museum and a room dedicated to Jean-François Cail, one of the five principal 19th-century manufacturers. A Renaissance castle (16th century), it nonetheless conserves a feudal aspect. Inside, there is a collection of regional headdresses.
