Paul and I dreamt of relocating to France so we left our careers in advertising and finance in Edinburgh, hired a motorhome and set out to travel around the country until we found the perfect location. And we found La Blatière…We loved its idyllic rural setting, the charm of the property, its overall sunny climate and Its location close to everything this wonderful region has to offer made it the perfect place for us to invite guests to. <br/>

We had a superb holiday staying at The Stables for 2 weeks. The accommodation was great and the pool was superb. Great to relax in at the end of long warm days. Location was perfect for us; plenty to do locally and also a good base for longer day trips. As a result, our two boys (15 and 12) were never bored. The highlight for them was the O'Gliss water park which was great fun. We also discovered why Puy du Fou is regarded as the best tourist attraction in France and had a couple of lovely days out in La Rochelle and Saumur. But our holiday was made perfect thanks to our wonderful hosts, Lesley and Paul who were attentive but never intrusive. We've already re-booked for next year!
Thanks Neil. It was great to meet you all and we are glad you all had a wonderful stay. It’s fair to say from our point of view you came as guests and left as friends and we look forward to seeing you out with us again in 2020. Lesley & Paul x
Fantastic accommodation, excellent scenery with great facilities. Loved the rural location with easy access to La Rochelle and other more bustling towns. Great hosts in Lesley and Paul who not only picked me up at the airport, but gave me a welcome pack – the perfect hosts – for me, the perfect holiday. I’ll definitely be back!! Thanks for a magic holiday!!
