We have been here in France since July 2014 after years of planning the dream. We looked at so many properties before settling on Les Saules and we haven't looked back. We left behind stressful jobs in the UK to embrace the quiet life here.

A beautiful gîte in a beautiful setting. Every comfort had been provided by the gracious hosts, Andy and Vic. Thanks to their thoughfulness and attention to detail, we didn't want to leave. We cannot recommend a visit to Walnut Cottage highly enough.
Walnut Cottage is an ideal location for a totally relaxing, tranquil and stress busting week. The premises were pristine, comfortable and certainly value for money. As far as facilities were concerned, we were delighted with the "welcome pack" provided by our hosts. As well as all the basics it also included a bottle of wine, fresh eggs from their chickens, ingredients for making a meal on the first evening, all we needed for the barbeque as well as product for dish washing and the washing machine.
The setting is beautiful in acres of lovely gardens in the heart of the French countryside, as well as having a swimming pool.
Our hosts, Andy and Vic were very welcoming and helpful, whilst remaining unobtrusive. They gave us good tips on local attractions, facilities and events.
To summarise, this gite ticked all the boxes and we would certainly return and highly recommenf to our friends and relatives.
We stayed in this wonderful gite at the beginning of summer this year and couldn't have been more delighted. The gite itself was beautifully appointed, well equipped and with facilities to cook anything we wanted. The bed and bathroom linen was high quality Egyptian cotton, a very comfy bed and the whole place was spotless. The gardens were beautiful and filled with birdsong and the humming of the bees. The surrounding countryside offered ample opportunity to walk and explore and the nearby towns were a delight, full of interesting shops and delicatessens. The gite is conveniently situated between Limoges, Poitier and Angouleme, and an easy drive to their airports. The owners, Andy and Vic, are warm and friendly and made us feel so at home. Even the chickens greeted us every morning like long lost friends! We shall definitely be returning to this slice of heaven!
