|Moulin Bois||Self Catering||Flexible||2||4||2||Double day bed for 2 people|
Moulin Bois is located in the middle of a large wood, at the end of a tree lined single track lane. It's the perfect getaway for those looking for a calm and relaxing holiday.
The gîte is one wing of the mill house. It has its own entrance and was completely renovated in February 2017.
The walk to the village is along a quiet and pleasant single track lane. The restaurant is rated highly and there is also a great bakery, a shop, pharmacy and bar/tabac.
Moulin Bois is first mentioned in historical records in 1403, although there was probably a mill on this site before that.
There is a fully equipped kitchen.
The combined living room/dining room is just off the kitchen.
The main bedroom is large 40 sqm and contains a queen size bed. It is upstairs and has views over the river.There is also a double daybed that is large enough for 2 adults. The en suite bathroom has a bath and shower.
The downstairs bedroom has 2 single beds and the en suite has a large shower.
There are 2, newly renovated, en suite bathrooms. In addition there is a downstairs toilet and washbasin beside the vestiaire.
Central heating plus electric radiators.
There are 2 tvs, one in the living room with a Sky digibox with UK channels. Upstairs in the main bedroom is a Canalsat box with all the French and other European channels.
Guests have access to the full 5 hectares of woodland, islands and springwater pools at Moulin Bois. The woods and islands of Moulin Bois, and the larger neighbouring Bois de la Berge, have many paths and there are beautiful circular walks both on the property and in the local area. There are also many quiet rural roads nearby that are perfect for cycling.
The water in the mill leat is especially clear as the Clain is joined by the water from Les Fontaines de Moulin Bois, a number of springs that combine to form 2 large pools of fresh waist high water, perfect for a summer dip.
There is plenty of parking at the property.
