Michael and I are both retired and love the peace and quiet of the countryside in the Vienne. We are still discovering places to walk, drive or just sit by the rivers - there are 5 in the area! Our kids and grandchildren love it too.

This is a pretty medieval village with spectacular ruined castle and scenic river. Anglin There are tea-rooms and cafes, as well as walks - everything from a stroll by the river, to a gentle climb through the village to the viewing place with breath-taking vistas, or a steeper climb skirting the woods to end up in the castle ramparts.
Really beautiful house in a stunning countryside location. Beautifully quiet making for a very relaxing break away. The kids absolutely love the pool and the entertainment in the atelier. The house is very well equipped and clean and makes us feel like we are in a home away from home. Would definitely recommend and we will be returning again.
We loved our stay at Chez Michel, the kids had a brilliant time and we were able to relax and enjoy the beautiful countryside and quiet surroundings.
The property we stayed in was lovely and clean and so full of charm. So much space for us to spread out and it felt like a home from home. When we arrived the owners greeted us and told us how to find the local supermarket and local brocantes which were worth a visit.
We were lucky with the weather and spent a lot of our time around the well maintained pool. The kids spent most of their time in and out of the pool or running around the large barn which was full of toys for them to play with - bikes / pool table and they were free to roam and play in the ample (enclosed) space outside the barn . They were really well entertained which gave us the ability to sit back, watch and unwind.
The property is set in really beautiful countryside with a supermarket and bakery a close drive away. We visited a couple of lovely restaurants but mostly relaxed at the property using the BBQ for a lot of our evening meals. We had a great space outside to sit and eat if wanted - otherwise the kitchen diner was big and well equipped for our needs.
I would absolutely recommend this property to family and friends and hope to visit again soon.
