The lounge has 2, 3-seater leather sofas and 2 armchairs, as well as the tv and another wood burner. A flight of stairs from the lounge leads to a very pretty bedroom with beams and windows to the garden as well as an en suite shower room. Next to the lounge is another double room with French windows to the garden. It is next to the bathroom. Both double rooms also have a single bed. Behind the kitchen is another flight of stairs leading to a huge room with 4 single beds - perfect for the children.
Very large room with tiled floor and table for 8, as well as additional comfortable seating round the wood burner.

Bedroom accommodation is very flexible! There are 2 doubles (each with an additional single bed). One is upstairs and has an en suite shower room. One is downstairs, next to the bathroom. There is another upstairs room (up a different flight of stairs) which has 4 single beds. Between these stairs and the bathroom, there is another room with a double sofa bed.
There is a bathroom downstairs and a shower room upstairs.
Central heating is available by arrangement. There are also 2 wood burners

There is a large garden and heated outside pool (10m x 5m), shared with Chez Michel
There is plenty of on-site parking
Chez Lesley is suitable for all ages, but the stairs to the room with the 4 single beds are steep - not suitable for small children
Michael and I are both retired and love the peace and quiet of the countryside in the Vienne. We are still discovering places to walk, drive or just sit by the rivers - there are 5 in the area! Our kids and grandchildren love it too.

We have been coming to Le Bouex for many years with our young family and extended family and we will be coming again this summer. The owners have thought of everything even devoting a beautiful barn within the garden to children of all ages filing it with toys, games and bikes. There is a lovely swimming pool, gated for safety within the garden. The farmhouse is spacious and charmingly decorated with authentic furniture and a variety of bedrooms and bed configurations. The best part of being at Le Bouex is the peace and quiet and freedom for children to play safely whilst having some independence. A favourite activity is walking to the nearby river in the late afternoon and then returning for a sun downers in the garden. We cant wait to be back!
We had a fantastic 2 week break in chez Lesley, The property was actually better than the brochure described. The setting was beautiful and peaceful but near to pretty villages and other towns with large supermarkets. The range of activities was great , with swimming, boules, pool, badminton & table tennis.
We visited beautiful rivers, picturesque towns and lovely lakes. we also took a day trip to the Ile de Re which we loved.
The property was clean nd very well equipped, perfect for catering for large families.
We are planning to go again this year!
The farmhouse is so beautiful, and I don’t know where to start, but here’s a few highlights for our family: The kitchen is a huge communal area with a massive fireplace and seating area, with a lovely big dining table that we can all get around - but when the weather is fine there are patio doors to a lovely outside dining table next to a frog pond! The kids loved frog spotting. The thick stone walls kept the inside cool in the summer heat. It was 30 degrees most days we were there. There is a lovely walk through sunflower fields down to the river where we paddled and caught crayfish and the kids buillt dams. The dogs absolutely loved it too. Another favourite activity (?!) was lazing by the pool, sunbathing, reading and playing with inflatables. Also, there is an espace de loisir close by called La Bussier where you can swim and hire canoes. There is a sandy beach, and rope swing into the river and was a great place for a picnic. Gill and Michael are excellent hosts and have provided so many toys, games, bikes etc in a big tractor shed which has been converted into a play room. You must visit this place - not many people have heard of this area, but it is so beautiful and peaceful. We are going back again this summer.
Fantastic holiday home, we love it so much we’ve been 2 years in a row, and gave rebooked for next year already. A Beautiful old French farmhouse, tastefully decorated and with so much space, our children want to live here forever. We stayed here with my mum, sister and our 5 children ( 9 of us in total )and we all had plenty of room!. This house is perfect for families, or friends/groups sharing.
The house has a dishwasher, washing machine, sky tv etc and is well equipped with everything you could possibly need. The house is very clean and well maintained and Gill and Michael are truly wonderful hosts,so friendly and welcoming and nothing is ever too much trouble.
The pool is amazing, it has beautiful safe gardens to enjoy and the barn is so full of toys and games the children never get bored. A wonderful rural area of France, with so many places to visit and so much to do. We regularly visit Chavigny and Saint Savin, enjoying local shops and restaurants as well as the traditional French markets nearby, that are a joy to visit, There are also beautifully clean rivers to swim in nearby too, as well as many tourist attractions. It’s a truly relaxing holiday,
We are always so sad to leave and can’t believe that the two weeks go so so quickly.
But we always look forward to the next time we return 😀
