We have holidayed in France for the past 30 years and it has always been our dream to have our own property. In 2013, we decided to take the plunge and buy Vue de l'Eglise. We have spent the past 5 years renovating the gite, converting the adjoining barn into living accommodation and adding new bathrooms and a kitchen. My husband and I both work full-time in the UK, where we have 2 grown-up children, and love spending as much time as possible in France.

|Why this location?||We bought the property because of its ease of access to the channel ports of Caen and Le Havre, both of which are within 5 hours' drive. The area also has one of the most pleasant climates in France, with an average of 2400 sunshine hours a year. Local attractions include 'La Vallée des Singes' (Monkey Valley), Futuroscope and numerous water-based activities, including swimming, canoeing and paddle boarding. Brux itself is an ideal starting point for leisurely cycle rides and country walks. With easy access to the RN10 and within 35 minutes of the airport and train station at Poitiers, the gite is an ideal holiday base for families, couples or friends.|
