Here's what some of our guests have to say about their stay at Paradis des Papillons:

We had a wonderful stay at Paradis de Papillons. Sue and Andy are welcoming, helpful and provide first class accommodation. The gite has everything you require to enjoy your stay and the outside space, gardens and location are excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit.

This gite has everything - if you designed it yourself, this is what you'd come up with. Well equipped kitchen and spacious seating/dining area. Your hosts will provide quality wines if you wish, and there is a wealth of information on local places of interest. The garden is the jewel - beautiful roses, and buddleia which attracts butterflies by the score - just sit and watch them with a glass or two.

Beautiful gite, clean and well equipped, garden roses had a wonderful fragrance. Owners Andy and Sue could not have been more friendly and accommodating, would certainly recommend a visit.

We had a lovely 8 nights in Paradis des Papillons. The Gite was very well presented - even down to a very welcome bottle of wine and some bread/eggs. Will certainly stay here again if in this part of France.

Sue and Andy have really excelled with this Gite. The standard of accomodation is superb and everthing works and they even include sharp knives! Anyone who regularly stays in self catering accomodation knows some of the minor gripes: applicances not working; blunt knives -this is not so here! Everything works and works well and well thoughtout! Thank you. The rose garden is a haven of peace, calm and tranquility. Finally, the location is great. The roads are easy to access and use and facilities nearby as and when you need them. Most likely to return in the future!

Lovely secluded location in stunning countryside but conveniently close to Carcassonne and its airport, the gite has two large double bedrooms, one en-suite, is scrupulously clean and extremely well-equipped. It has been recently renovated to a really high-standard, has private parking and lovely gardens which are a great suntrap!

Park your car on the hard standing, enter through the little wooden gate into the rose garden, the scent will greet you and butterflies will rise up from the roses in a way to say welcome every time you came home, cross the sun deck with seating and loungers and plenty of shade if you need it, up some wide steps to the patio aria of this one story, two bedroom modern Gite, large lounge and dinning area with a nicely appointed kitchen. Paradis des Papillions is in a small hamlet of about fifty people. called "Ferran" situated on a small rise over looking a very wide valley. You can see vineyards, corn fields, and sunflowers, like butter on croissants, in the distant can be made out the Cathare's strong hold of Montsegur high in the foot hills, beyond that you see the jagged peaks of the Pyrenees mountains, to the left is the city of Carcassonne and the black mountains. Your adventure starts here.
Our preferred changeover day is Saturday but we can be flexible so please contact us to ask. The property is available from 16.00 on the day of arrival and we ask you to vacate by 10.00 on the day of departure. Again, we can be flexible, depending on other bookings, so please contact us to ask if you have a different requirement for arrival/departure times.

Here's what our guests say about their stay at Paradis des Papillons:

The house is in a small village with stunning surrounding scenery; tranquil and completely relaxing. Everything is beautifully presented and the owners are extremely helpful whilst at the same time 'separate'; the house and garden feel very private. We spent a very comfortable week here and would love to return.

Beautiful and furnished to high standard. The owners have taken thought and care into creating a welcoming and inviting holiday gite which very quickly felt like home. The hamlets sits on a small hill overlooking vineyards and fields of sunflowers is perfectly situated to discover so much that this beautiful part of France offers.

About the Owner/Advertiser, Mrs Susan Griffiths

Sue and Andy moved to the South of France in 2013. Since then we have been busy renovating our home, creating a garden and restoring the barn, which was used to make wine, into a luxury holiday gite. We love the peace and tranquillity of life in rural France and never tire of the breath taking views of the Pyrenees and vineyards which are literally on our doorstep. We enjoy cycling, walking and growing our own fruit and vegetables and the odd glass or two of the local wine occasionally!

What a little Gem, set in a little village called Ferran so peaceful, yet so close to everything. The Gite is very spacious, clean and well equiped there is nothing you need here other than your sun tan lotion.

the great thing about this gite is that you are totally private and not overlooked, good outdoor area for relaxing with a bottle of local wine and food it also has a BBQ.

Hosts Andy and Sue also laid out a selection of wines from the area which you can purchase using the honesty box.

Cant wait to go back
