|Villa Jasmin||Self Catering||Saturday||4||8||2|
The house was finished in September 2007 and sits prominently above the village with uninterrupted sea, lake and mountain views with the illuminated chateau directly opposite adding nicely to a spectacular picture of France. Our plan was to create a modern, comfortable and stylish residence where family, friends & guests could enjoy a high quality,5* break at any time of the year.The result is a house which can easily accommodate 2 families of 4 - a double bedroom, a twin room and a bathroom on each floor and all with the benefit of air conditioning throughout. Whatever the size of your party, the property is ideal with all of it's home comforts and facilities. The kidney shaped swimming pool is ideal for all ages and the various terraces and the private upstairs balcony provide fantastic places from which to eat, drink and be merry. The village has 4 excellent quality restaurants & a bar.
Our deceptively spacious, individually designed, fully air conditioned villa with free wi-fi, tv has been built with luxury living in mind – the furnishings and fittings being to the highest standard throughout. It is our second home and we love home comforts! The large open plan lounge/kitchen/dining room provides the perfect setting for a large group to enjoy indoor entertainment and dining.
A number of outdoor terraces have been thoughtfully created to capitalise on outdoor living/dining and bbq meals. Large patio windows/doors provide wonderful views from the ground floor – whether sat in the comfort of the soft leather settees or sat at the large, modern glass dining table. The patio immediately outside the lounge/dining room has a granite fire-pit table and large comfortable chairs to soak up the views at any time of the day or night.
The kitchen has all mod-cons and is equipped to the highest standards to accommodate the requirements of the most discerning cook. There is also a double electric George Foreman grill and a Dolce Gusto coffee-machine available for use. The furniture, fittings and facilities are above average and certainly not typical of most other rental properties in the area.
The villa is ideally located to enjoy the full benefits of this relatively unknown part of Southern France. Whether you are seeking peace and tranquillity around the pool, gastronomy, village, city, beach or mountain hiking or biking activities, it can all be fully satisfied from this lovely property above the wine village of Fitou, situated midway between the beautiful cities of Perpignan and Narbonne. It's elevated position above the historic wine village of Fitou provides unrestricted views of the Etang (salt water lake), the Mediterranean sea and the Pyrenees mountains.
During the evenings there is nothing nicer than a glass of your favourite tipple on the patio overlooking the illuminated kidney shaped private swimming pool and the lit up 10th Century chateau directly opposite. Every room has the benefit of reverse air units enabling effective air conditioning in the summer and heat during the cooler months.
The kitchen is very well equipped. Facilities include large fridge-freezer, electric hob/oven, microwave, dishwasher, Dolce Gusto coffee-machine (bring own pods), double George Foreman grill, electric hand blender. There is a large selection of crockery, cutlery, pots and pans, cooking utensils and glasses.
The modern, glass topped dining table seats 8 people and is placed to capitalise on the superb views from the villa.
Air conditioning throughout provides additional comfort.
The open plan living room has 2 large, soft leather settees, a wall mounted tv and free wi-fi is available to our guests.

|Year property purchased||2019|
|Why this location?||My husband and I love windsurfing and montain biking in this region. It also has a lot to offer in terms of gastronomy and fabulous wines (Corbières and Fitou).|
|Unique benefits of property||Wonderful view on the lake and mediterranean sea. Immediate proximity of the montain biking tracks and village of Fitou.|
You will find plenty of Fitou wine makers in the village: Château Abelanet, Domaine Lepaumier, Domaine de la Rochelière,...
No matter if you like to surf on the lake or on the sea, or if the wind is blowing from North or South, you will find the perfect spot in the neighbourhood: La Franqui beach, Leucate, Le Goulet, La Mine, La Palme, Le Rouet, Barcarès Eole,...
The Fitou village has nice restaurants like: Le Moulin de Fitou, Les Caves D'Agnès, Vidal. You can also taste oysters at Port Leucate served by the producers directly from the lake.
Just type VTT Fitou in Google and you'll find GPS tracks starting very close from our villa. The green one (15km) is perfect with the kids. The blue one (30km) is the one I prefer.
On top of the numerous Cathare castles in the region (Quéribus, Peyrepertuse, Montségur, Aguilar,...) we also recommend visiting the Fortress in Salses le Château.
The town of Narbonne is also worth a visit with its coverred market and old center.
