About this property

Holiday Gîte in an Idyllic Location Next to River. This cottage/gite is in a rural setting.

Welcome to the Gîtes du Cambon in the Cévennes Region of France
You will be assured of beautiful scenery and relaxation in the "Region of the Springs" in the Cevennes National Park!

A place to cool down – summer is hot here in the Cevennes!

For lovers of peace and relaxation, you can relax in the house, lounge on the terrace or swing lazily in the hammock by the river.

Le Château de Cambon is at St André de Valborgne (Cevennes National Park).
Close to nature, in beautiful scenery, our haven of tranquillity will charm and captivate you for a few days or a few weeks relaxing with friends or even with a large family! (up to 11 people when both gîtes rented together)

For gourmets we light our wood-fired bread oven once a week which produces delicious pizzas!

We are registered with the Cévennes Eco-Tourism Association as having a sustainable development approach. (We are signatories to the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism).

Our 2 gîtes are situated on the first and second floors of the former Château of Cambon.

The large terrace, common to the two gîtes, is equipped with garden furniture: sunloungers, parasols and a barbecue.

You will enjoy the quiet environment, surrounded by nature with access to the river on the property, for swimming or bathing. You are just a few kilometres from the National Forest of Aigoual, a haven for walkers and lovers of nature!

"Figarette" is a type of chestnut used for Marron Glaçés. A traditional variety, originally from the Vallée Longue but currently mainly produced in the Vallée du Galeizon around Saint Martin de Boubaux. A small variety of marron with the advantage that it ripens early and has a great flavour.
