We chose Beau Jardin as we wanted a small Gite for 2 with a pool, which was crucial for us. The apartment was very comfortable. We've been to so many where the chairs and bed and cheap but Derek and Lisa have kitted it out as though they were living in it. The patio area offered much needed shade and pool is fabulous and secluded. The local area and towns were full of character and, as well as our mission to 'generally chill out and get as much sun as possible' we mooched around Agde, Marseillan and Sete and loved it. Each restaurant we went to served great food but if we were to pick one then Chez Philippe offered best value with stunning tasty food. We didn't use the beaches until meandering back along the coast road to Montpelier on our way home and found some great ones to laze around on. Our week was truly a great holiday and honeymoon and Beau Jardin proved a perfect place to stay. We felt relaxed from day one. Thank you Derek and Lisa for a great holiday.

"Summer Break 2014"
This is our second stay at the garden apartment. The owners are very friendly and welcoming. Sole use of the pool was a real bonus. We have visited Fance for a number of years and feel this area is one of the best as it really feels you are on a relaxing holiday. I would recommend this apartment for anybody wanting a relaxed vacation, there are plenty of places to eat well and there are lots of places to visit.

What a little gem! The most perfectly appointed apartment, with exclusive use of a pool, in a secluded location. The sea is a 100 yard walk away and the site of major oyster production in the region. The layout of the apartment has been thought out very carefully - the sockets are all in the right place for hairdryers and other appliances. It is immaculately decorated and maintained. The equipment is extensive; everything necessary for self-catering if preferred. Marseillan has a wealth of restaurants offering good food at varying prices. We thoroughly enjoyed a meal at Chez Philippe. Meze is a slightly larger port, but just as pretty. Just outside Meze is the Roman villa at Loupian where guided tours will show the extensive mosaics discovered on the site. Derek and Lisa are delightful hosts - the pool is cleaned every morning by 09.30 and no question is too much trouble. We would definitely recommend a stay there.

|Why this location?||Marseillan is a very picturesque harbour side village on the sea water lagoon (connected to the Med.) called the Etang de Thau. It is full of Mediterranean charm with bags of French atmosphere and lots to do and see and lots to eat and drink!
Often likened to St. Tropez 50 years ago !
Our properties with pools are located on the vineyards, 300 metres from the Lagoon, 800 metres from the Port and approx. 3kms from the long sandy Med. beaches running between Sete and Cap D'Agde. Both are within easy safe level walking distance (day or night) alongside the lagoon of the harbour side restaurants and town centre.
Marseillan is famous for it's locally grown Oysters and shell fish which are especially delicious washed down with the local Picpoul White wine.
The Canal du Midi starts at Marseillan which was originally built in the 17th century to facilitate transport connection with the Atlantic and Bordeaux

Why Not Pay Us a Visit for your Very Relaxing Holiday in the 'Midi' Sun ?
This apartment is an integral part of Derek and Lisa's residence and is maintained and furnished to a very high standard. It includes all necessary amenities, private access to a refreshing swimming pool, outside dining area and provides an excellent base within the small port town of Marseillan which is situated alongside the Etang de Thau and a short drive from the beautiful beaches of Marseillan Plage, Sete and Vias Plage. Derek and Lisa are wonderful hosts who offered support and advice when required but never intruded on our privacy. On their advice we visited a few local sights which were all very interesting and Lisa arranged a tour of the historic Noilly Prat vermouth distillery located in Marseillan which was excellent (don't drive there though)! This apartment is perfect for a couple or party of two who want a high quality, peacefully quiet base for their French sunshine holiday and we are happy to recommend this property.
The apartment is perfectly situated for Marseillan town and the beach. It is also within easy reach of other towns such as Agde and Pezanas.
The kitchen is very well appointed and the outside terrace and pool are lovely.
The hosts made us very welcome and were on hand to give advice.
We particularly enjoyed the visit to Noilly Prat which has changed so much since we saw it last.
It was very clean and well maintained and we would recommend it to other couples.
Lovely little apartment in a gorgeous part of France. Derek and Lisa were so welcoming and helpful, giving us lots if useful information and recommendations for the local area. The apartment is clean and well kept. The outside seating area is beautiful and the pool was absolutely perfect, and it was great to have loungers and umbrellas to use. It's in a very quiet location and the walk into Marseillan was very easy to do.
All in all it provided a lovely, relaxing start to our holiday.
We loved our stay in this apartment which exceeded our expectations. Derek and Lisa were very welcoming and so helpful with planning each day's activities, yet we had plenty of privacy.
They even did a load of washing for us and put it out while we were out enjoying ourselves - so they went above and beyond. The property was a great size and layout and really worked, as we like to cook. Everything was ready and waiting when we arrived and felt very homely. The pool was lovely and clean and in a nice private setting. There are supermarkets not far away and it is a nice easy walk along the waterfront into town. We went to the Vietnamese restaurant which was very good, owner was lovely and we would highly recommend the food.
We did so many great outings thanks to Derek's advice and still didn't get to Montpellier, so must return. The area was great, full of surprises. Plenty of clean beaches with lovely white sand and vineyards everywhere. Visit to Noilly Prat is a must, was extremely interesting and delicious!
