Watch the world strolling along the waterside, watch the yachts and barges come and go or take a couple of minutes stroll to the many cafes, restaurants and bars on the port.

Sitting in the peaceful property you will be delighted at how close you are to Marseillan's pretty marina with its excellent choice of waterfront restaurants and cafés. The views across the waterside constantly stun and the evening sun allows you to enjoy a glass of something cool and look at the yachts coming in. In the day when it gets too hot move to the shade at the back of terrace.

The property has a spacious living, dining and kitchen area. New large bathroom with relaxing bath and shower over! As the property is new everything within is sparkling e.g. fridge with freezer, cooker with hob and washing machine. Air conditioning and lift. Location is by the waterfront and next to the Port Rives Gauches.

A few minutes walk away from the port is a small local beach which is lovely for children, tennis courts and a new selection of stylish but simple restaurants serving smoked moules, oysters and wine. By the beach there is a water sports area where you can paddle board, kayak or learn to wind surf! Also if travelling with small children there is a lovely park nearby and bbqs for all to use. 5 mile long sandy beach about 5 mins drive with beach clubs and large waves.

Marseillan is a ‘hidden gem’ with very pretty port and is a stopping point for those travelling along the Canal du Midi. Steeped in history Marseillan is possibly the oldest village in France. The area was originally settled by the Greeks more than 2500 years ago and was a very active Roman commercial centre.

With an old village it is still relatively unknown but once you know about it beware as you will want to keep coming back! There are about 15-20 places to eat, shops selling everything you need - boulangeries, pharmacies, greengrocers, fish, meat and everyday essentials (all within a few minutes walk).

Travel a little further afield and you can visit the old port of Sete, historical Pezenas, Carcassonne, Aigues Mortes, Uzes, Montpellier, riverside villages, mountains, gorges and other waterside villages such as Bouzigues aptly named for a bouzy, fishy lunch.

Getting to Marseillan is easy, many people from the UK drive which takes a day and many people stop somewhere on the way.

Flying there are 4 airports within driving distance. Beziers (20 mins drive), Montpellier (50 mins drive), Nimes (60 minutes drive) and Carcassonne (about 75 mins drive). UK flights are from Luton, Liverpool, Manchester, Bristol, East Midlands, Edinburgh, Glasgow and more (depending on time of year). Also you can get a train from London. St Pancras.

The property has a spacious kitchen area. As the property is quite new everything within is a very good standard e.g. fridge with freezer, cooker with hob and washing machine. All normal kitchen equipment is here including crockery glasses utensils etc.

Living rooms

Comfortable sitting area for 4 with tv receiving French and some UK tv.
As we have free wi-fi we recommend that you bring a tablet and/or laptop if you want to watch lots of UK tv.
There is a dining area with table and chairs for 4 in here but we find we normally eat every meal outside or dine out in the many local restaurants.


Two bedrooms - a double and a twin both with fitted wardrobes.


A lovely bathroom with nice bath for relaxing and shower over the bath with glass screen.


Air conditioning which keeps you cool in summer and warm in winter. Each bedroom also has a separate wall heater.


TV with loads of channels.

Garden and outside

The terrace is on the best side of the building for sun. The sun comes up on your left in the morning as you sit looking out over the water and goes down to your right in the evening.

Large terrace includes dining table and chairs for 4 and deckchairs.

Parking and garages

Parking is free on the road outside.
