This beautifully appointed award winning ground floor apartment, perfect for adult couples, is fully self contained and has a private entrance. The apartment is situated next door to the owner's Chambres d'hôtes (B & B) in the lively village of Olonzac, the capital of the Minervois.

The owners have thought of everything to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable.

There is a complimentary Welcome Pack including tea, coffee, milk, bottled water, fruit, dishwasher tablets, washing powder and a bottle of local Minervois wine. All linen (including beach towels) and cleaning are also included.

Situated at street level, the apartment comprises of a comfortable open plan living room and full size kitchen decorated in the Provençal style, and a spacious king bedroom and rainwater shower room. Sainte-Hélène Apartment is situated near the centre of Olonzac which has bars, restaurants, shops, take-aways and a fantastic Tuesday morning market - all just a few steps away.

Although it is located close to the centre of the village, it is quiet enough to allow for a great nights sleep.

This property is well recommended, particularly as the owners are very flexible about your arrival and departure dates - subject to availability. They go out of their way to make you welcome and have a good knowledge of the region.

This area is open plan at street level. The kitchen is well-equipped with fridge/freezer, large gourmet double gas oven, large gas hob with wok ring, microwave and all the crockery and utensils you will need to cook up a storm!

Living rooms

There are 2 comfortable armchairs, a sideboard with tv and dvd player and table and four chairs for dining. The tv receives international channels including UK free to air channels.

Bedrooms

One large king bed with bedside cabinets, large chest of drawers, wardrobe and armchair. There is a fan directly above the bed.

Bathrooms

There is a bathroom directly off the bedroom with a large rainwater shower, double basin, heated towel rail and toilet.

Heating

Two large radiators in the lounge/dining/kitchen area, 1 large radiator in the bedroom and a heated towel rail/radiator in the en-suite.

Garden and outside

Outside you will find a shady courtyard which is shared with the b&b. You can relax with a favourite book, or simply enjoy a glass of local wine. There is a charcoal bbq for guest use (used exclusively by the apartment guests).

There is safe parking on the road directly outside the apartment or in a nearby carpark (a few minutes walk),

Let us introduce ourselves...Kay and Mark 'Map Man' Williams. Originally from the UK and New Zealand we both have a passion for meeting people and exceptional customer service. Having travelled extensively and with a combined background in marketing, event planning and business development, we decided to move to the beautiful Minervois region in the south of France and put all of our skills to good use establishing a bed and breakfast and apartment/gite.

Why this location? We are located in the centre of a thriving large village...and just around the corner there is everything you will need during your stay including two boulangeries, a charcuterie (butcher/delicatessen), newsagent, doctor, two pharmacies plus several bars, seven restaurants and cafés, frequented by visitors and locals alike. There is also a beautiful park in the village with quiet areas for relaxing, playing petanque and tennis.
Within easy driving distance you will experience the many beautiful villages of the Minervois region, the UNESCO listed Canal du Midi (only 2 minutes drive away), enjoy a day on a Mediterranean beach, or visit cities by the sea like Narbonne or Sète, explore Cathar castles and learn of their interesting and turbulent history, visit famous tourist destinations such as La Cité of Carcassonne, taste the fabulous wine from the world’s largest wine growing region or simply find a beautiful spot to watch the world go by...
