Quiet Detached Villa with Private Pool and Nice View. This villa is in a village setting.

Between sea and scrubland (garrigue).

Not overlooked villa with private pool located on the edge of the village of Fontès in the heart of the department of Herault.

This one-storey villa has a large terrace and a large garden. For lunch, when it is hot, you will appreciate the shade of the pine. It is from him that the name "les pignes" comes from. The "Lucques" (olives typical of Languedoc) grow on the olive tree in front of the kitchen window.

The situation is exceptional: 30 km from the Mediterranean sandy beaches, 12 km from Lake Salagou where you can practice swimming and sailing, 30 km from the Regional Natural Park of Haut-Languedoc (Summits Somail and Espinouse are 1,124 meters high and those of Caroux are 1,101 meters above sea level).

Sports activities for all tastes are nearby, including canoeing, paragliding, climbing, golf, tennis and hiking. Starting from the villa, you can make wonderful walks.

Kitchen and dining

Large kitchen fully fitted with all of the usual appliances that you would expect, electric oven, induction cooker, dishwasher, microwave, coffee-machine, kettle, fridge, upright freezer and double trash for sorting, if you wish.

Living rooms

The spacious living/dining room has a flat-screen HD tv and a BluRay player. Dining table and chairs for 8, dresser, dvd, boardgames and regional books
Three seater sofa, armchairs, wi-fi is available.
The living dining room open up to the terrace and garden through 2 sets of double frenchdoors.

As more technical information, you can connect to the tv by HDMI and USB. The hi-fI channel has an "aux" input. The internet router has free Ethernet ports and of course, wi-fi.

Bedrooms

All rooms have ceiling fans and wardrobes.

Two bedrooms are with twin beds (90x200). One is with a queen Size bed (160x200). A baby cot is available on request.

Bathrooms

The family bathroom has bath with shower head, a separate shower, double basin, washing machine and toilet. A second separate toilet is also available.
The shelves and hooks allow you to easily store your belongings.

Heating

Heating is by fixed electric convector heaters though these are only required during the winter months.
You will certainly appreciate the ceiling fans in the bedrooms and standing in the living room.

Entertainment

The living/dining room has a flat-screen HD tv and a BluRay player.
In the dresser you will find board games and books about the area, dvds and music cds.
You will appreciate the size and tranquility of the pool. Balls, pool noodles, and so on.
Along the house is a petanque court.
And from the villa you can have very nice walks.

Garden and outside

Private above ground pool 10m x 5m x 1.3m deep. the ladder is secure and easily fully removable. Nevertheless, children must be watched all the time.
Sunloungers, outdoor tables, parasols and a hammock are included. The pine brings a beneficial shade during the hot hours of the day. The garden is around the house, which means that there is always a side in the sun and a side in the shade.
No neighboring house has a direct view of the garden.
Olivier (our pool manager) maintains the pool every Monday morning very early. You will probably never see him.

Parking and garages

There is a garage, but it is used as a cellar. There is one parking space into the property and many parking places 100m from the house.
For cyclists there is enough space to bring bikes in the garage.

Visitor suitability

The house is entirely on the ground floor, but there are some steps to the house. Unfortunately, the width of the doors is not suitable for a wheelchair.

Information about any additional facilities

All utilities, end of stay cleaning, towels, linen and dish towels are included in the rental price. Remember to bring your own beach towels as they are not included.
Pool is unavailable between October and April and electricity for stays in that period is charged extra at cost.
If you wanted to use the venue for solething specific - contact us and we can always try to accommodate your needs. For yoga retreats for example we can organise mats etc if needed.

We always enjoy returning to the region because of the friendly people and the beautiful landscape between seaside and mountains.<br/>We love hiking in the surroundings at any time of the year. We love cooking, specially seafood and we never pass the village Mèze without buying some oysters and mussels at one of the kiosks along the road. And we love discovering the nice towns and cultural treasures close by.

Why this location? Fontès is a lovely village. Between the mountains to the north and the beaches to the south.
The Mediterranean beaches are at 30 minutes from the house. 20 minutes from Salagou lake and 40 minutes from the Larzac plateau and Haut-Languedoc regional natural park.
You'll appreciate being able to start our hikes directly from the house.

Unique benefits of property The house is calm and bright, without opposite, on the edge of the village. The village has all the facilities. Bakery, butcher shop, two restaurants, pharmacy, doctor.

You can do climbing, paragliding or just hiking. The summit is accessible after a beautiful hike, or simply after a short walk in parking at the end of the track. The view goes up to the sea to the south, and the mountains to the north.
