A family-friendly villa-style house in popular Capestang. Ideally situated for exploring Languedoc Roussillon - its historical sites, long, sandy Mediterranean beaches, rivers and canals, breathtaking landscape and its many thousands of vineyards.
Located in a quiet residential neighbourhood, the house offers comfortable accommodation for up to 6 adults and 2 children.
Les Platanes is close to the camp site, children's playground, community centre, tennis courts and a skate park, and is within walking distance of all village amenities including:

The kitchen double doors open onto a terrace for breakfasting, or dining (up to 4 people).
There is dining for up to 10 people in the bright and airy sunroom and also a summer kitchen with barbecue for covered outside dining.
The main living room has ample seating for 6 adults and there are other chairs/stools available for children.
The double doors at the front open onto the paved area near the pool. The double doors at the rear open into the large entertaining/dining sunroom.
The living room leads into the extended, refurbished kitchen through an archway.
There is a large tv which guests can use to watch UK tv channels or Freeview French channels. There is also a dvd player with a small selection of dvd films.
There is a selection of books for teenage to adult.
The sunroom has a stereo system for cds.
Les Platanes has accommodation for up to 6 adults and 2 children.
There are 3 large bedrooms, one with king size bed, one with double bed, and one with twin beds.
A smaller bedroom with bunk beds is for children up to the age of 12 years only.
(Top bunk not suitable for children under 6 years).
There are 2 bathrooms on the first floor:
Family bathroom with bath and shower over, toilet and washbasin.
Shower room with spacious walk-in shower, toilet and washbasin.
There is a separate toilet on the ground floor.
No heating is required in the summer months.
All bedrooms have an electric radiator, and there are 2 electric radiators in the living area. For particularly cold periods there are also several portable electric heaters.
The bedrooms have electric ceiling fans for use in the summer months, and there are also some extra portable fans available.
The property has tv, dvd player, hi-fi (cd) system with big speakers, and plenty of books.
The sunroom at the rear of the property is ideal for larger groups.
The outside area of the house is mainly paved and offers areas for sunbathing, or reading in the shade, facilitated by an olive tree. There are 6 sunbeds, 4 sunloungers and 4 patio chairs, a small glass table with 4 chairs for taking coffee or cocktails, and also 4 children's garden chairs and table.
The summer kitchen offers undercover dining for up to 8 people. There is a gas barbecue.
Les Platanes has a small swimming pool (3 m x 4.5 m) which is half above ground. It is ideal for children or for everyone to cool off on hot sunny days.
The garden has a lockable gate for extra security.
There is parking for one vehicle immediately outside the property. Otherwise there is free parking on the road which passes the back of the house.
The garage is for the owner's use only.
Les Platanes is suitable for everybody except those with a mobility problem (all the bedrooms are upstairs).
It is available for groups of 4 to 8 persons. PLEASE NOTE: the pricing given here is for 8 persons. There is a small reduction in price for smaller groups. Please enquire.
In particular, because of its secluded position in a quiet residential area, its lockable gate, its spacious interior and its small swimming pool, it is particularly suitable for families with children.
It has been a successful venue for families accompanied by grandparents, or 2 families holidaying together.

|Why this location?||The small town of Capestang is ideally situated for exploring Languedoc Roussillon - its historical sites, long, sandy Mediterranean beaches, rivers and canals, breathtaking landscape and its many thousands of vineyards. Capestang itself is a port on the Canal du Midi, a great focus for tourism.There are at least 5 airports within a reasonable drive of Capestang, and also a fast train service from Paris to the region. The area is well-served by motorways from the north. Capestang is close to 2 major cities, Béziers and Narbonne, which have their own distinct characters.|

It is in a quiet close in an established residential area with ample parking, and is close to all local amenities. The outside area on 3 sides of the house is mainly paved, and there are both sunny and shaded areas. The small pool is ideal for children, but also provides welcome cooling off opportunity for guests of all ages.
The property has a very large airy room for dining or entertaining, and also a covered barbecue area for al fresco dining. In 2019 there will be an extended, refurbished kitchen.
