Full heating available during cooler months so can be used all year round. In a beautiful area with plenty to see and do. Local places of interest include Beziers, Narbonne, Carcassonne, Montpellier, Pezenas, Valras Plage, Cap D'Agde and Sete. Cathar country is close by and this is France's largest wine producing area with local caves in every village.

Please note that we do not accept stag or hen parties or large adult-only groups.



Kitchen and dining

There is a huge modern light and airy kitchen/breakfast room which opens onto the pool area.
The kitchen is well equipped with 2 ovens, a large hob, microwave, kettle, coffee-machine, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. There are wipe clean white units and marble worktops.

The breakfast area has a large table and there is a second tv with UK channels.
There is also a relaxing area overlooking the pool with a coffee-table and easy chairs.

Living rooms

The living room is L-shaped and has large leather sofas and a tv with UK Freeview channels and a Blu-ray player.
There is a separate dining area with a large table and dresser.
There are also plenty of children's toys.


5 large light and airy bedrooms; all upstairs, air conditioned and mainly furnished with traditional style furniture and with access to balconies.

There are en suite shower rooms to the 2 main bedrooms. In addition upstairs there is a third bathroom with a large bath and a separate wc.
Downstairs there is a wc and washbasin.
There is another shower room and wc in the pool house.


There is reversible air-conditioning fitted to all rooms in the villa which provides cooling in the hot summer months and heating during cooler times of the year.

The property is secured by electric vehicle gates.

There is a lawned area to the side of the house and a large pool area to the rear where there is also an outdoor eating area with barbecue.

The swimming pool measures 10m x 5m and the depth varies from 1m to 3m. There is a solar-powered weight-bearing cover to provide security.

The large pool house has a summer kitchen, shower room and games room as detailed above.

Parking and garages

There is secure private parking for several vehicles.

Visitor suitability

The property is ideal for families. We provide highchairs and cots and there is a safety gate at the top of the stairs. Our youngest was only 18 months old when we bought the house so we made it child-friendly for ourselves.
Most of our guests are either multi-generation family groups or 2 families holidaying together. We have had a lot of repeat guests so must be doing something right!!

We do allow well-behaved adult dogs but charge an extra security deposit and ask that they do not go upstairs.

The house is not suitable for stag or hen parties or for large adult-only groups looking for lots of entertainment.

Own transport is necessary as there is a very poor bus service from the town centre.

Information about any additional facilities

The full air-conditioning, large private pool and well equipped games area set this house apart from many others.

The location is also fantastic being walking distance to the village, a short drive to beaches but very quiet.

We are a British family with 3 children. We live just north of London in a small town. Tessa is an accountant and Chris a software developer.<br/>Prior to starting a family we travelled a lot and wanted our children to inherit our love of this. We wanted a villa in the south of France that was family friendly but didn't compromise on luxury - our standards didn't change because we had children!!

Why this location? We were looking for a home in the south of France and came across this villa whilst holidaying in the area in 2007. The quiet location on the edge of a typical French village was ideal. We were looking for a light and airy, spacious property with a pool and garden within walking distance of shops but in a quiet location and Le Palmier ticks all these boxes! When we purchased the villa it was in desperate need of tlc and we had the property completed renovated to a high standard so that we were happy to use it as our second home. Updating has continued each year and, most recently, we have had all the shutters replaced.
Unique benefits of property We have plenty of private parking and there is no road noise but it's a very easy walk to the centre of the village for your morning baguettes! There is a private pool, air-conditioning and wi-fi and plenty of space. There is also a separate pool house with a large gamesroom. The property is genuinely family-friendly whether you have babies, toddlers, teenagers or somewhere in between!
