Rental property owners
Lovingly and painstakingly restored by owners Bob and Barbara, this cottage was once just a barn. Bob worked on the house himself and in fact they lived here for many happy years. They have a restaurant in Wales (which is now run by their son) and Barbara is a keen cook.
They are both still local and frequently stay at the house when seeing friends in the village. If they are in Roquebrun they will usually pop in to say hello.
The kitchen and dining area are just off to the right, through the living room accessed through a rustic archway. Decorated throughout with antique paints from Farrow and Ball it has a real cottage feel, with rustic country stand alone units, well equipped for proper cooking, fridge-freezer, large cooker with large oven and gas hob.
You enter this quaint, 90sq metre property straight into a good-sized lounge with a warm, comfortable, cosy feel to it. There are 2 sofas - ideal for 2 couples to cuddle up on infront of the woodburning fire. Furnished in country style with tv. There are books for you to read at your leisure.
Upstairs bedrooms and terraces
Upstairs has 2 double bedrooms, an en suite shower room and a bathroom (which can become an en suite for the second bedroom). They are both on the first floor - which leads out onto the 2 terraces and established garden.
Both have double beds and 4 pillows on each bed.
Views from both rooms are onto the gardens and stone terraces which run along the stream ( which is often dry in summer).
The master bedoom is larger and can accomodate a cot. It also has a wardrobe and chest of draws.
The second bedroom is smaller with hanging space on hooks and a chest of draws.
Both rooms have lamps on both sides of the bed and either a chest of draws or bedseide table to put your things on.
Bathroom 1 is en suite from the master bedroom and has a large shower unit, sink and toilet.
Bathroom 2 has bath with overbath shower, sink and toilet. This side of the landing can be completely curtained off at night to give privacy to the second bedroom so it can be used also as a private bathroom.
Radiators in the bedrooms and kitchen and lounge.
Woodburning fire in the living room - wood is provided for short stays.
Tv and free wi-fi
Books available in english.
2 terraces within the garden. Stone steps up to the second terrace. The road can be accessed through the small gate at the bottom of the garden.
