The Domain: In the grounds of a derelict château in Lézignan la Cèbe, a dreamer has lovingly restored the old château and built 9 new houses, and created 3 individual apartments inside the restored château. The whole domain, enclosed and gated, is exclusive, charming, calm and surrounded with plants and greenery. There is a large communal swimming pool (well exposed to the sun for bathing and swimming) for the benefit of the residents and their guests. The car park, also within the gates, away from the houses making the air unpolluted and the site very safe, is large enough to provide adequate parking for all.
Our villa is one of the new houses built just beside the château.
Ground floor: Master bedroom with en suite shower room; separate wc. Living room, dining area and kitchen. Wi-fi, tv and dvd included.
First floor: 2 Bedrooms. The larger bedroom has 2 single beds and a walk in shower. The second bedroom has 2 full size bunk beds. A family size full bathroom with a bathtub is on the same floor, as well as a separate wc.
Gardens: Both the front and back gardens are gravelled and planted. The back, which overlooks the village and mountains beyond, is ideal for breakfast in the sun (or shade if you prefer!). There is a shaded terrace at the front, complete with table and chairs, large sun umbrella, reclining armchairs and a built-in barbecue, perfect for a relaxing evening supper with family or a romantic dinner in the dying rays of the summer sun.
The domain is on the edge of Lezignan-La-Cebe, an ancient village once owned by the Knights Templar. The village itself is a short distance (approx.3 km) from the centre of Pézenas, famous for its association with Molière. You could cycle, take the bus, walk or drive to Pézenas which (to be honest) is what most of us usually do.
A walk to the centre of our village brings you to a family owned supermarket, a baker, hairdresser, coquillage (shellfish), Post Office, town hall, pharmacy, doctor and visiting mobile butcher. There is also a pizzeria, and a bar.
Fully equipped kitchen ideal for those that like to cook.
Living room is an open space with the dining area and at one end the kitchen.
Bedroom 1 with en suite shower room is ideal for the person with reduced mobility. It is situated on the ground floor and no stairs to climb.
Bedroom 2 has 2 single beds with en suite shower. It is situated on the first floor and has nice proportions for comfort. The view from both windows is grand.
Bedroom 3 has 2 bank beds. We had adults who used those bank beds, but it is more suitable to children as they like this type of arrangement. The bathroom for this bedroom is situated in the hallway.
2 Shower rooms and 1 bathroom with a bathtub.
The front garden has a bbq and it overlooks onto the interior of the domain.
The back of the house has a smaller garden with a view over the whole area and beyond. The backyard is very private and a great place to relax with a book.
Secure parking for 2 large cars. Ideal if you are concerned with parking locations.
Suitable for young families.
Suitable for a person with reduced mobility.
Excellent location for children.
Wonderful place for those that would like to have a peaceful place to enjoy, recharge batteries, perhaps write a book or any other activity.

Excellent sidealk cafés, restaurants and shopping (antique or otheriwse).
The pool is large enough for a good swimmer.
We are retired couple, living in the UK most of the year, but love being here. We love the house, the neighbours, the countryside and the food. Not necessariliy in that order. The combination of vineyards around the area and all amenities that mingle and mix in the same vicinity are part of what we love.

|Why this location?||The property is in a secure area ovelooking the countryside. The complex is built on the grounds of an old chateau. The view is wonderful. We are in our little world, in the country, part of the town, but not secluded. A unique location.|
|Unique benefits of property||Ideally located for a bike ride to Pezenas, short drive to the sea. The view from the backyard over the whole area is unique. As a small community, the location is safe from prying eyes, within a short distance to all amenities, and a short ride to the beaches, golf clubs, antique shops and restaurant, yet it is still a tanquil retreat and peaceful location.|
Wednesday market in Clermont l'Herault only 15 km away.
Friday market in Beziers for flower lovers, and an opportunity to visit Beziers.
Pezenas Saturday market is magic, with people milling around, the smell and color and the the sidewalk cafés.
Sunday Antique market in Marseillan is very special. It is enormous in size and you stand to find many bargains, antique and not so antique.
I will hightly recommend the sidewalk café in Pezenas and side walk cafés in Montpellier.
All other site seeing that tourist attend you will be able to get form the Tourist Office. However, the July and August Nocturn in Pezenas will not be mentioned. This is a well known secret only to those that are here. Shops are open till midnight and tables are arranged on Saturday in the middle of the street where you can enjoy local food. Just something to behold.
